  His reappointment confirms the fact that John Mahama has lost touch with the people.Much as I do not believe Oko Vanderpuije cannot solve all the problems in Accra,I think his incompetence is making matters worse.

  At the moment JOHN MAHAMA has NOT articulated any vision for the country and his governance. Ghanaians don't know what he stands for except his mere promises and lies.
  For sustainable socio-economic development Ghana needs ACCOUNTABLE GOVERNANCE not mere promises without action as characterised BY MAHAMA'S "leadership".

  Please make sanitation a priority. Active public education through the media esp tv and radio and motivated sanitation workers to help rid the entire city of choked gutters especially around market areas like Kaneshie (a major eye-sore) needed. Good sanitation is health and a very cost-effective way to reduce an individual's and an entire country's health budget.
  
  Please involve relevant engineering institutions in developing modern tools/equipment for example a vacuum device for cleaning gutters, able to obtain sand for construction and re-cycle water and other material. Hope to see a locally developed one at the next Trade Fair. The programmes should be directed at addressing national sanitation issues.
  
  Let it be possible to use 'Cleanliness' to re-brand Ghana.

If the president awards people who serve the people rather than enjoying the position they have given by always sitting in their offices growing big stomachs and looting the tax payers money then most of these people will have a change of heart.   I pray that President JM reappoints Dr. Okoe Vanderpuije. Alfred is fearless and hardworking. I have been following his administration with keen interest and admiration. The Ga Chiefs and Queen mothers should therefore solidly rally behind him to remove all squatters from Accra. Who gave lands to squatters occupying areas like Sodom and Gomorrah, Odaw Naa, old fadama,along the motor way from Accra toll booth, flower pot area off the spintex road just to mention a few. Then these squatters have the impudence to ask for relocation; relocate to where? Chiefs and Queen Mothers of Ga traditional area arise and fight the squatters from Accra. Nii Okoe Vanderpuije cannot do it alone. It is a collective effort. Thank you Mr. President and may Jehovah God continue to give you wisdom and direction. Stay focused and be blessed. Long live Ghana.

  I read somewhere that this Opare Addo character has not been able to account for $2,000 given to him by some Akuapems living in the USA / Canada towards a school project in the Akuapem area. In places where people are serious, he would not be asked to sweep the community center, let alone hold the keys to the hall!! I am damn sure there are thousands of persons like him all over the place in charge of even bigger public assests. Hence the mess! This is Ghana with Mahama (or Kufour or Akuffo Addo, or Rawlings or Nkoom or Atta Mills etc) in charge!!!
