NOTHING IS STATIC. PRICES OF KENKEY, BREAD, CARS, ETC, ETC, ARE INCREASING. SO WHY SHOULD TARRIFS REMAIN STAGNANT? PLEASE INCREASE THE TARRIFS BUT SEEK TO ELIMINAATE WASTE SO THERE CAN BE GENERAL IMPROVEMENT IN OPERATIONS.

Mr Manu, why don't you eliminate the waste then see how much you can increase the tariffs by? I bet you'll be giving rebates instead of increasing those tariffs

This is a right move and should be supported by every Ghanaian. All Ghanaians should even join this group to serve as a pressure group in all pheres which borders on the interest of the citizen. But my caveat is that it should not be a political group which will be aligned to or against any political party.
In my view, this country will move forward better if there is a very strong pressure group which will not be aligned to any political party. Its work will depend purely on citizens' interests, nothing more nothing less.
I am ready to join such a movement and to even hold a leadership position on condition of my stand. To continue to politicize every issue in this country will not help anybody, but the ordinary citizens will be the greater losers.
Politicians have taken us for granted and are enriching themselves to the detriment of the ordinary person.Politics have become an avenue to make money and enrich oneself. It is time for oue eyes to be widely opened. This is the reason I say any insurrection in the country will be widely accepted and endorsed. The seeming quietness is not an endorsement of the status quo. It requires a courageous and brave person to disturb the peace for Ghanaians to applaud. I saw what happened in 1979 and this serves as a guide to my comment.
Many of us will not like what I am saying but I believe it is the truth.

Ghanaians don't receive realistic pay and our salaries are not based on the world market labor earnings. Cocoa, gold, and oil are all sold at the world market rates, but the workers in these fields receive local rated pay and should not pay so-called realistic tariffs based on dollar equivalent conversions.

All ministers, MPs n Article 71 Office Holders including state institutions should, from hence, pay for utilities. Until then, there should be no tariff increase!
