A member of parliament and the then minister of sports who went on an official trip with his girlfriend, leaving behind his wife, and using fake documents to obtain a visa for his girlfriend.

As if that was not enough, he went ahead to use our taxes to chew chin-chinga to the tune of GHC100,000.

Not only Moslems but some backward chiefs,elders and educated Christians are all "in it".The late Ya Na had 30 wives - including under-age girls; and the Offinsohene,in Ashanti, impregnated two young siblings(according to Ghanaweb),while he was married to older women.

Muntaka is not a role model for Moslem youths and non-Moslems in general.One would expect an educated man like him to be more enlightened in the 21st Century,but his libido comes before his brain,common sense, equality and dignity for all men and
women.

Among all Moslem countries,only Turkey,Lebanon,Azerbaijan and Tunisia explicitly prohibit POLYGYNY.All the rest are mostly glorified backward societies who think women are only good for the bedroom and kitchen.

It is time for the educated women leaders in Ghana to make their voices heard,and fight for the liberaton of Ghanaian women - from the oppression of these backward paleo-consevatives, who still live in the 18th Century.

Church members and their Pastors hit the women, left and right, in the name of 'Valentine', 'boy and girl friend', sleeping and having sex to the extent of getting pregnant, and some having children, before standing before the shameless Pastor to exchange vows.

At least, the Holy Qur'an allows the Muslim men to marry more than one. Muslims don't keep girls as girl friends for year, having sex with them in the name studying their characters, before marrying, after breaking their virginity. Muslims don't commit adultery. Stoning adulterers to death is Biblical. Instead of Pastor deterring church members from involving in these dirty practices, they encourage dreamers, fornicators, and adulterers in their churches. They themselves do the same things.

Isn't it a pity that supposed authorities of the Holy Bible are the worst sinners? Research results show that HIV/Aids is VERY minimal among Muslims. Why? Because they go by their Holy Book. If others will, at least, follow and obey the injunctions in their Holy Books, the world would have been a mini-Paradise for use before meeting our Creator.

How many of those MPs and you contributors to this web-site are properly married and are committed to their marriage without having extra marital affairs? Just be honest and come out with the truth. If we don't see and don't know, Someone is there witnessing everything you do secretly or openly.

Yes it is legal it it is customary or Muslim. However you cant register 2 wives in court. You register ome and the other remains unregistered but legal.

Teacher training institutions accept female students of all ages, married and unmarried. My Aunt was a fully matured married woman when she went to train as a teacher. To say female mature married students should not get pregnant while at the training school is a very backward policy. Women have the right to decide when they want to have children and so long as they are mature women nothing bars them from having children while in a tertiary institution. It is their decision when to have children. Women are not stupid, they can make wise decisions concerning their wellbeing and must be given that freedom to do so.

Laws are always from time to time due for review or we are bound to be doomed.If we continue to follow traditions that had held us back for years then the future looks bleak.We can not continue to follow what our father's did and expect to move forward.If we believe in forward ever and backwards never then we need to reorient our thinking.We really need to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery.Why on earth in this day of civiliztion would we put inpediments on a future leader because she is pregnant?No names mentioned but I know a lady now in the states who got pregnant while in S5 in one of the schools name withheld in the 80s but the Headmaster gave her the benefit of the doubt and allowed to her to sit the O'Level exams back then.Lo and behold that lady finished and passed with distinction she gained admission to UST had her B.Sc went to the states got her M.Sc and is now an engineer with one of the top companies.I look back today and regret several decisions our father's took back then that has jeopordized the lives of several ladies of which two of even my own cousins were victims.They were very bright ladies in secondary schools back then but just because they got inpregnated sadly by their variuos Teachers their fathers had to kick them out of school because back then once you you are a teenager and gets pregnant your future right there was in tartars.You were stigmatised and instead of being encouraged to stay in school or go back to school you were rather told you have no future.Now go to all civilized or developed nations such as Uk or USA and you will see that they have what they call the twilight school system with even baby sitters for these babies and also counsellors to talk to them and encourage them just because they want to still encourage them to get the best out of them and today most of these girls end up becoming Doctors,Nurses,Lawyers,Counsellors etc.so that instead of having them becoming a drain on society they rather become an asset contributing to society.This is how societies need to be built everything should be put in place to encourage not discourage and that is how we can stem this dog chain selling menace and armed robbery because once you educate a woman you educate a whole family and a whole nation.Ask yourself how many well eduacteds with Diploma,B.Sc,M.Sc or PHd or Medical Dr.,lawyer,Nurse etc.will ever indulge in armed robbery so if you want peace and harmony in any nation now and in the future we need to encourage person irrespective not to say we are encouraging teenage prgnancy.They need to be told it is not cool to get pregnant while in school,it is not cool to engage in illegal drugs,it is not cool to use profanity,it is not cool to steal,it is not cool to indulge in alcohol and all mishaps.The media houses can play huge part in this area of eduating.To our parliamentarian he should not feel proud because he has two wives either by dint of religious believe or his own choice because as an educated he could have done better than that.Thanks and be the judge yourself.
