Owusu, if the Otumfuo education fund scholarships cannot help you much, you can rush to Bawku because the Bawku-Naba's Scholarship Scheme is very effective. Even primary school pupils within Bawku and its environs will die of laughter if they read your contributions. Rush to Bawku, Tamale, Bolga, Wa or Tumu where you can be properly educated. In that matter none of them was declared the winner by the presidential commission and it was the supreme court which settled the matter on the Florida vote then after Bush was declared the winner by the right institution and sworn-in by the chief justice but here in Ghana it is the opposite way whereby a winner was declared by the EC and sworn-in by the chief justice therefore my common sense tells me that the supreme court may call for reforms in our electoral system and will not push our national calendar backwards to affect the 2016 general elections bcos after all therefore it beats my sheer immagination that the supreme court will unseat a president declared by the EC as the winner and sworn-in by chief justice

EC dont make people Presidents it our high courts, the EC is supposed to ran a free and Errors free elections and tell our supreme court who had more votes.
EC dont make presidents they manage elections. On this 2012 elections the EC took its eyes off security of our votes, that is why NPP Nana Addo is in court for EC to get it right.

How many people voted for Mahama in upper west region? if 1million voted its 20 million voted for Nana Addo in Asante region eg.

In all this, the US SC rejected the way it was been done at the time because in their view the application of different standards of recount(hanging chads, pregnant chads etc) was tantamount to 'unequal treatment'not the principle of recount. It allowed for the count to go on if one standard can be applied to all counties. Al Gore then caved in, he had lost the stomach for a fight! This means the court case did not settle it as much as Gore giving up. There are no similarities here, the only principle that may come up in our case is the NVNV where the principle of 'unequal treatment' under the right to vote will be explored if the judges are that way inclined.

This is not NDC Ghana issue to be spun, it is what it is! Al Gore could have seen through what he started to the end, indeed as Ruth Ginsburg said it should have been decided at state level and yes their determination still directed the finl decision making to be done at state level. I stand by my point, Gore could have carried on and be labelled a troublemaker or anything else by election monitoring agencies or free and fair election proponents and still lose or maybe win,but we dont know that because he declined the option, simple as that, my point! He chose when ' enough was enough' so we dont know whether he won or lost but we know at the close of the count of validated votes Bush had more votes than him. I am sure he still believes to this day that he was the electorate's choice Florida but the votes validated did not reflect that just as Nana Addo feels and hence the petition. What is apparent is different from the reality. That is why in the 2012 presidential election a pink sheet can have numbers that appear logical but when scrutinised falls apart ie total verified voters equal ballots issued but when breakdown of candidates votes are computed the figure is higher than ballot issued.

This allowed the recount as the state law allowed for a manual determination of voters intent in a close fought election. Indeed at state level when the law was applied Al Gore won at every turn of challenge of results. The fact is he still had the option to continue after the SC determination of the recount to be stopped and a new standard for all counties applied to the recount. This is not NDC or Ghana fact that can be twisted, it is US fact so cannot! It is well documented and any person who is interested in the honest use of knowledge not the type used by bogus educated people will attest to. You can spin Ghanaian 'knowns' but not US knowns', apologies to Donald Rumsfeld. And might I add that Al Gore, had he seen it through and become victorious, all his 'sins' or any inconvenience caused would have been forgiven by believers in justice after all the US is a leading light of democracy not a banana republic with mini Hitlers! The proponents of 'free and fair election' or agencies may not have but it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference to the pursuance of justice. He would have been hailed as a just fighter and indeed his name would have gone in the books of the history makers of US history. The only downside is that Obama would never have become the Prez of US which was a first. The injustice of Bush's win made it possible for history to me made. Even if Nana fails there will be a silver lining in there for well meaning Ghanaians as there always is in the fight of a just cause.

The Supreme Court does not decide if Mahama can be president, they decide if Mahama got the amount of votes necesssary to be President. Thereby the Supreme Court decides if the result is valid. If it is invalid ipso facto Mahama did not win and 1) Akuffo-Addo won or 2) a 2nd round is necessary.

The president is elected by popular votes. That is how our democracy works. The Supreme Court's job is to make sure our constitution is protected and uphold.

Everywhere in the world,the Supreme Court has jurisdiction and the final say of all Court cases and especially cases of national interests Could ONLY be interpreted or Decided by the Supreme Court of the land.
I wonder why in Ghana a general secretary of a political party(PNC)thinks the Supreme Court of the land Cannot be the one to decide on electoral petition.
Where from this Deviant,Confusion,and Folly .The next time you hear about him, he's the presidential Candidate of his party.Folks, if we elect such a person to the presidency imagine how quadruple extra large( 4 X )the bridge to nowhere would be,and the lack of the rule of law(goats in sheep skin or dictator in democratic suit).

If Mona has a short memory let me refresh his sick mind that it's the Supreme Court that ruled in Bush's favour to become President of the USA. And our current constution is a copy of that of the USA.

So if indeed the votes won by NPP indeed is that of NDC I see no reason why NPP is not declared the winner. if majority of states won is the panacea to win elections, AL-Gore would have won the U.S elections against Bush.
