Isnt it strange that " missing GH¢862 million is due to administrative errors" ? It is becoming a fashionable trade mark to attribute fraud to administrative error.

With this fraudulent attitude Ghana is bound to collapse at the hands of people in power.

Do Christians and non-Christians believe in the Hereafter at all? Or it is the concept of atonement of sins that is pushing Christians into committing more, and more sins with impunity? And they condemn Shari'a (Islamic jurispudence). It is a shame.

I am caught between wishing our entire bureaucracy face some psychiatric examination prior to taking up offices and recommending that all our indicted officials for gross corruption be referred to The Hague to face crimes against Humanity.

In the absence of the brutal Coups that summarily execute certain folks for alleged economic crimes, our leaders feel unhinged, unrestrained, and are insensitively ruthless in sucking the life out of our Economy, even if their actions cause needless and preventable fatalities among us.

This looting and thievery has really taken an entrenched position in the psyche of Ghanaians and its realy shameful. I bet the perpetrators would see nothing wrong in their actions ans in their evil way of thinking they consider the GRCL as somehome belonging to their families and thus have the right to misappropriate such huge sums.

Infact something radical needs to be carried out in Ghana to change the attitude of its citizens. Such huge sums could have been used to reinvest in that laughable railway system of ours, instead we allow illiterates and semi illeterates and unpatriotic and corrupt to the core and evil literates to assume managerial positions in our institutions to suck the national economy dry to benefit themselves, families, cronies and friends. I'm really disgusted.

If this story has any credibility, it goes to show why Ghana is still languishing in underdevelopment. The degree of kleptocracy in various levels of Administration is just too high. And unless the President intervenes with some Executive order to crash-clean the system we would not see much of any growth and modernization reaching the rural societies as well.

From arranged dubious Judgment payments that officials share with undeserving Businesses to corrupt CEPS at the Ports and Borders , from looting of Government Lands to raw thievery, like suggested in this GRCL report, from kantakerous deals to divest our State Enterprises to unrecorded payments in Cash-in-brown-paper-bags made to bid-less awardees of Contracts, etc., Ghana has been milked relentlessly by her Officials for decades.

It is possible we lose well close to 50% of our Government Revenues to the pockets of crooked Officials and their cronies.

May The Lord save us from ourselves!
