In any case, the biggest concern of all NOW should be HOW FAST AND FORCEFUL GOVERNMENT WOULD MAKE TO RETREIVE THE AMOUNTS INVOLVED. The earlier the better.

I support that incriminated officials of the Jubilee Partners, EO Group, should still be dragged to court and charged accordingly. As far as I am concerned, even if a former president is corrupt should be made to face the law. We are not there yet, but that is where Amidu is leading us to. Could you remember Mr. Amidu saying that the selection of John Mahama secretly to be the flag-bearer without the knowledge of all stake holders was undemocratic? Amidu is a human being, but I believe he can lead Ghanians to the promise land.

You are comparing oranges and mangoes. The EO Group did NOT take anything from Ghana, and so rightly, after all the hulabaloo, the guys are going to sell their stake to whoever they wish, in this case to the Jubilee Partners.

All they did was to promote deepwater Ghana which at that time was the Explorer's Waterloo. No major oil company was interested in Ghana. They went and literally begged Kosmos, Tulow and others, to come to Ghana, for which they received a paltry 3.5%. The regular indutry rate for that kind of service is 7-10%.

That percentage came from the companies and NOT from Ghana, that is why they are able to sell it. The much more credible government of the USA (with better and more honest security services ) probed the group thoroughly, and so did the porous security services of Ghana (who are able to make cocaine exhibits turn to kokonte), and none of them found any wrong-doing on the part of EO. Perhaps the only thing that was wrong with them was their names and which part of Ghana they come from! Get a life, Kwesi Teeth.

GNPC's data was available to EVERY company that applied officially to review the data. Owusu is NOT a even a geologist or geophysicist. How could he have made any use of GNPC data even if he had it. He just used business sense to promote Ghana. In the 1960s ad 70s. one American called Greenberg had ALL offshore Ghana blocks/data. What did he do with it? He promoted the blocks to the industry and the only thing that came out of it was the small Salptpond discovery.

What the EO Group did was just a smart business deal which is common in the oil industry. All you have to do is Google and you will find similar things all over the world.

Of course the industry is very specialised and people like you and Kwesi Pratt can NEVER understand it in a 100 years!
