The question is this: What real contribution did he make to the regimen of enforcing all the laws, which are on the books, against these politicians when he was AG? Did he prosecute any of them? Did he propose laws that would curb the monopolistic tendencies of the political elite he now criticises? The real problem is not the "evil" of the politicians, it is the passivity of those who are supposed to police them. Amidu was AG, Akuffo-Addo who wants the presidency was AG, any serious achievements on foundational law enforcement efforts on their part? I think not. They should have crusaded against the rot Amidu is talking about. Winning one silly reimbursement of a judgment that should not have been won is no achievement. Had the underlying corrupt rules and non-regulation which permitted the judgment in the first place been curbed and or streamlined, the claim would not have even been filed. Should there not be a law exempting taking a default judgment against a state? The jurisdiction where I've practiced for half a century has that law. No one gets a default judgment against a state agency, PERIOD.

First of all Mr. Antoh, it is not that AG's job to write or propose laws in the country, the AG is the chief legal council for the State, His/Her job is to defend the interest of the State in cases, or sue on behalf of the State. Mr Amidu during his time as AG was doing exeactly that when the powers above decided he was pushing too much so they cut him off. Nana Addo for his part did what he was told by his employers, so before you start accusing people, maybe you should research a little for yourself. They have a broad and dangerous network. In times past, they use underground vigilantes and gangsters and mobs whose nefarious and wicked activities stem from armed robberies, secret killings etc.

Let's not forget that the five judges were murdered in cold blood and up till now, nobody knows or has ever claimed responsibility for that heinous crimes. There are many such untold crimes against honest Ghanaians such as Amidu. We should all watch out against them in Ghana.

As much as we are hailing Amidu for his patriotic stance, we cannot be so ignorant about the need for 24/7 security for that wonderful Ghanaian.

There is only one Mr Martin Amidu: selfless, honest, caring, courageous, clever, humane Mr Martin Amidu. We worship you, Mr Amidu. The poor Ghanaian needs people like you to be in politics to govern, fight and protect their interests and well-being. We certainly do not need the likes who are insensitive to the suffering of the poor who goes to bed feeling hungry and wake up in the early hours of the day, thinking of what they are going to eat. We do not need those who as you (Mr Amidu) put it, are only interested in amassing wealth and build empires for themselves and their families at the expense of the poor Ghanaian.

With Mr Amidu's revelations, we now can sense the nefarious and selfish dealings going on behind closed doors within this untruthful, corrupt and fraudulent NDC government. Their strategy is to take control over the economy through the vast business empires they are building for themselves, and ultimately take control over the political structures and perpetuate their influence over who rules Ghana.

Martin Amidu said there are many outstanding matters of impropriety in the handling of government business that should be pursued and corrected. He said his experience at the Attorney-General’s Department has opened his eyes to the gargantuan crimes that can be committed against the state if wrong people are put in positions of leadership.
