Unless Anas Aremeyaw intervene to expose these guys, nothing will stop them. The goro boy are the agents of the bosses there. even if the agent(goroboys) are sacked they can still contact the bosses for their business, they would then charge even more than before. As for the machines, they would always spoil because if they function well, the syndicate would lose money needed to complete their houses.

I don't think Issuing of Passports in Ghana should be a problem at all, if the government or those in charge will be very honest and take my free advise. The system should be the following: Step (1) The Government should get a statal Account with one or two Qualified banks which has branches in all over the country. Step (2) Ghanaians who wants to apply for passports should just apply for the forms through their various Councils Offices in their Region. Applicants suppose to pay for the Forms and the Passport Fees in those designed banks and codified numbers given on such payments. The applicants then go to their Regional Council office to collect the forms and fill them, of course with all the necessary questions answered on that form. On the forms there should be part to be indented by the applicant's Town Or Village Chief. Step (3) The filled or completed Forms are then sumitted to their Regional Council office, (for onward processing at the appropiate governmental centres). Step (4) The passport SHOULD BE READY FOR ISSUANCE in a specific logical time - which could be stipulated by the Government or those in charge. Step (5) Within the stipulated time, the passport should be brought to those Regional Council Centres. Step (6) Those in these Regional Council Offices should notify the applicants to come for their passports by either mobile phone, text, e-mail, etc., and the applicant is finally issued the passport. Everything to be Computerized. Here, nobody including those working on the passport itself won't see the money. This is the best way to curb corruption, false identity, avoid foreigners having our Ghana Pee.

I mean every stage they will take bribe or frustrate you with delays for you to do follow ups.
I went recently to DVLA to pay gh30 for change of documents. The cashier lady was demanding in front of other owners and drivers GH5 before taken the GH30. off course I refused to pay but I end up wasting four precious hours they.

They should get some of the machines and trained personnel at all the regional centres where identities and addresses of applicants could be easily and effectively investigated. If you are born at Kokofu for example, you have to apply for you Pee in Kumasi, not in Takoradi or Tamale.

If he did not know beforehand, as all or most Ghanaians know, that his appointees were crooks, then it falls to reason that either he is not qualified and ready to be President because he is not on the ball, or, hen is simply an accomplice.

Do you think that if for instance Woyome were to be an NPP person, he would be walking around freely and even taunting the Courts? What about all those dubious agreements and purchases that he the President himself contracted the govt of Ghana into when he was Vice President?

Listen Vuvuzela, some of us are not NDC nor NPP or for that matter members or sympathizers of any of the existing marauding gangs of cheap thieves who call themselves political Parties in this country. We are therefore not blinded by silly and stupid prejudices in favor of, or against any of them. We will therefore also not settle for the lesser thieves as scapegoats to assuage or cleanse the crimes of the bigger thieves who have made our lives so miserable and meaningless. We will go for the big thieves when the opportunity arises.

Then again, as against the popular NDC by-heart attitude of always shouting about jailing people, we will not jail them because we have no power to do so. We will let the legal system freely do its job by putting them before court and trying them.

When you get there, the gate men, cleaners, administrators and ALL are involved. I saw one OLD man wearing "chalewote" and speaking hausa to a security guy who says he's from National security. They ushered him in. When I confronted him, he only said, "massa, we're doing our work". He even called a stupid police officer to remove me. I insisted until a deputy director there came to intervene. When I explained what was going on at the gate, I was finally ushered in and got the passport of my child within 2 hours while those who thought I was being difficult still stood outside.

The most irritating part was I was told it was official fee. on demanding for a receipt I was told its not given. Likewise at the passport office where all passport seekers are illiterate and cannot fill a simple , and has to be done through only by the cleaners and the 'goro" guys . Has any one braved it to object or challenge any of them ????So please when some of us start throwing stones at politician we should remember we are all rubbing and sinking the country. Non of us love the country so lets take a moment back and do some soul searching. can we put a stop to all these SURELY WE CAN. OVER TO US ALL. AND MAY GOD BLESS US

We dont vote for any party to perpetuate the wrong things their predecessors were doing. If the NDC thinks they are in power today because they are untouchable then it is better it reviews its notes. We shall continue to change until we cant change anymore. But I believe with time new and better leaders will emerge on the scene. It is my strong conviction this is the will of God.
No explanation will accepted to support the corruption at the passport office and other similar offices in the country. Those who have ears should hear and do the needful.Otherwise when the time comes nobody should blame anybody as well.

No one in Ghana has to think about this; they never will. They created it. Try clearing your items from the harbor, or registering your car, or acquiring a drivers' license or acquiring a housing permit, or registering your child into a school. THIS IS WHAT MAKES US A CORRUPT COUNTRY.

Ghana, currently is at a stalemate and the worse is yet to come. The ruling party itself is clueless and the only explanation they give is the previous government did the say so, what is wrong if they embark on the same journey? Do we have to blame them for that? No wonder, the innately corrupt Nigerians have taken advantage of the venal atmosphere resulting in thousands of them travelling with Ghanaian passports. This has been a cancerous situation for a long time. I had to stage an ALUTA when the passport office was located at the Airport Residential Area before I got mine.
