If NPP can make thousands of photo copies of pink sheets, I don't see why they can scan KPMG report as document.
Anyway KPMG can give then uneditable pdf copy.

I wonder how Mr Dodoo can convince me that he cannot give soft copies which could be protected by KPMG or pdf copies to restrict any alteration thereon. This report is about counting of pink sheets and not an investigative report. KPMG should give us a break and not think that all Ghanaians are not computer literate like the old judges he was addressing.

If it si to enable them print and distribute to all its members then they can photo copy or scan and get it across to wherever or whoever by mail or whatever electronic means. KPMG is not so daft when it comes to security of documents and and will put put useless measures in place just to frustrate people. They have reasons and Kweku Baako is the only one woh knows it all and finds it wrong for KPMG to take that decision. It appears some people criticize everything as a way of making announcing their presence. This infantile journalism must stop.

They all agreed that no soft copy will be provided to any of the parties. In other workds copies of the audit report were to be served to parties in HARD formats only.

I would bet the members of the court considered that agreement as well.

The KPMG rep (Mr Doodoo) explained to the court that it was company policy not to give soft copies of documents away. The judges took a vote on it and decided there was no obvious merit in the petitioners request for a soft copy. In any case, why are they insisting on a soft copy when all parties involved in the matter are served with hard copies -if the petitioners do not have any ill-intent? Kwaku Baako tries hard to give the impression that he is an expert in everything, yet all he is, is the owner of a "newspaper" (LOL !)with a readership of about 35 nationwide, that most Ghanaians have never even heard of. Shut up Mr Baako and let the Law Lords do their work. I hope you are the next one in line to receive a good whipping from His Lordships.

Even though this is an open secret, let me gainsay it. You have sacrificed your potential for good journalism on the alter of party politics. Professionally and intellectually, you have lost every respect of your peers. Your observations are so skewed, you appear naive, but everybody knows you are not. It doesn't take an einstein to know that if you give your document to an organisation like the DFID, you can to a large extent, trust that they will use it for the purposes for which they took it from you. Give the same document to a lawyer and it could turn into a 'bomb' to destroy you.

If DFID "contracts" any firm (including KPMG) to undertake any work FOR them, they agree on the TERMS before they begin. If in this case you allude to, they requested a soft copy of the report, it is entirely within their rights as the "contracting organisation".

What people like Mr Baako are forgetting is that KPMG did this work pro bono (i.e. without receiving payment from any party), and that it was agreed from the start that they will ONLY provide HARD COPIES. I argued at the time that it was UNWISE for this job to be done without PAYMENT and I still believe that to be the case.

Mr Kweku Baako, IF the supreme court had contracted KPMG to undertake the job and PAID KPMG (on behalf of the protagonists, who then later paid for the services), THEN you can argue that SOFT copies should have been written into the contract.

Why don't we all apply a little bit of COMMON SENSE in these matters? As others have said in this forum, "commonsense at times is not that common".
