This is a man who has truly laid down his life to defend the Constitution of Ghana and for that matter Ghanaians in general are behind. The NDC government and more so the following government Departments has been completely exposed. Mainly as failed department of the country as a whole. Attorney General, Ministry of Fiance, Bank of Ghana and the Accountant General. How and what are the purposes of these Departments nobody now knows. The fact remains that these departments work hand or collaborates to making payments or disbursement on behalf of Government. Thus, if there was to be wrongful payment made then they should be held accountable.
It is no wonder then, that the Supreme Court judge surmise everything or action by click or group in the Government among these setups: to collude, connive and collaborate to lot Ghana.s resources with the help of so called foreign companies. From Mr Martin Amidu's write up, it should not take rocket science to deduce what really is happening in Ghana. This in particular among the two largest parties. which unfortunately has being rotating the government-ship or governance of the country. There is a forbearance of that each of these two political parties when in power must make it a point to first satisfy few among themselves. Currently, it does not appear these parties know Governance, Probity and accountability is. It is does openly, that Ghana as a country continue to move backwards in spite of so much mineral worth being generated.
Mr Amidu's exposure has named many of the shady characters, who employees both in the Attorney Generals office and elsewhere. Why are these people still in their jobs? If President Mahama is always being brief, why has not taken any remedial action to indict these people? As things stand, it is politics as usual then, and if so who suffers? It is always the poor people and much so taxpayers.
In the mean, the Government and NDC are persecuting one of the country's most patriotic citizens in Mr Martin Amidu. I believe that all sane learned Ghanaians, both abroad and inside the country will rise up to the defend of Mr Amidu. It is my candid opinion that Transparency International and its affiliate in Ghana, the GII and various NGO's will very much rise to the defence of Mr Amidu.
To really uncover fully what has transpired with contracts signed between years 2000 to date, the Security Agencies must be authorized by the President to be ready to arrest all those involved in causing financial loss to the State of Ghana. These people must be rounded up without any fear or favour. These issues of judgement debt must be probed acutely and jail irrespective o of political party affiliation.
Mr Martin Amidu God richly bless you in all your endeavours. I surely believe there are whole lot or about 60 per cent of Ghanaians are firmly behind you.

I can assure you without doubt that it was as a result of these rots in the NDC government, fearing prosecution and subsequent imprisonment that they had to bribe Afai Gyan's EC to rig the elections in their favor in order to dodge 'for now' piunishment. NPP will never dirty clean hands as that of Amidu. We have done it before with the likes of Selorme, Kwame Peprah and co and we shall do it again with those found culpable. To quote Rawlings in one of his junta days, "If those in power misuse their offices to pursue self interests, they will be resisted and unseated no matter how unshakable their operations might be." At one point too, he had this to say, "If you know your hands are clean, have nothing to fear, but if you know your hands are soiled, have yourself to blame." Amidu will only have to fear the NPP if and only if he has financial skeletons in his closet. We shall protect Amidu with our lives but rest assure that if anytjing untoward happend to this national hero because of his patriotism, there will be such revolt in Ghana such as has never happened before. Eyes are watching whilst time is ticking.

The question in Ghana is, did/do we understand Rawlings' message at all? Did we help? Look, the real enigma in the Ghanaian tragedy is ourselves, and as it is, for f...king ever, we love to lay the blames at the door of others. First, was it the whiteman who colonized us; second was it the whiteman who used Afrifa and co. to overthrow Nkrumah, third was it the whiteman who asked Acheampong and co. seize power etc.
Rawlings came and we all asked him to let the blood flow and later on asked for democracy, then turned parliament against him to subvert all his efforts as some among us asked the whiteman not to help him succeed.
Rawlings is not longer in power and things have nose-dived for the worse, with corruption getting unprecedented! Aren't we tired for blaming others for our own ills?

How the NDC believed that by paying these judgement debts we could convict NPP officials and jail them of causing financial loss is strange. Martin Amidu has not done anything beyond the norm except show that parliament and or Ghana’s lower courts are either incompetent or contemptuous of the nation. Was it not Ghana’s lower courts that found the national government guilty in all the judgment debt cases brought before it? Where were our so-called knowledgeable parliamentarians when Ghana needed them to explain what it took to have a legitimate contract with the government? Ghana did not get into judgment debts, rightfully or wrongfully because we did not have the money to pay our debts but because NPP and NDC officials engaged in contracts on behalf of the government with vendors/contractors they did not have either the authority or backing from statute. All Martin Amidu has done is expose the said contracts to be invalid because there were no legal backing in accordance with existing statutes. He has, however, cowardly avoided the pursuit of those individuals and political parties who initiated and signed those contracts on behalf of the national government yet his desperate followers rejoice as private entities are cheated by people who acted on behalf of the government.
For example if someone gets employed at anyone of Ghana’s civil service departments and diligently provide labor to the government, in an office setting or in the field, would this person be entitled to some payment for services/labor provided if even his employment was determined not to have come from a manager with hiring authority? We cannot live in a society where people acting on behalf of the nation extract labor and services for free in the name of the nation and allow either the individuals and or the national government to benefit from these services with recourse or payment.

It is this same Martin Hamidu who is reported to have, in the era of the PNDC incited soldiers to kill people of one ethnic group because of a conflict that erupted between that ethnic group and another ethnic group. I think it is very sad to read such news items in out dailies, we have some dirty criminals peddling as businessmen, CEO and politicians who have dug their dirty and filthy hands into the coffers of the country some of them under the leadership or umbrella of political parties. I think all manner of people must be thoroughly scrutinised before taking positions of trust such as ministers of state, members of parliament, MDCE and even in our hospitals, schools and churches, it is only in this way that we can weed out clever thieves in suits, and promote a just and fair society. Please somebody bring back the people tribunals.

The attorney general, Tony Lithur, Gbevlo Lartey, Kojoga Adawudu, Tsatsu Tsikata, Asiedu Nketiah, Amissah Arthur, Barton Oduro, etc, etc, are all individuals who when the cat is let out of the bag, would run for cover and so, they are trying all within their power to thwart the work and the verdict of the SC.

Mr.President, I believe you are aware of the saying " Tell me your friend and I will tell you your character". Well, the crux of how people especially Ghanaians perceive or judge you should be a wake up call to you. If your integrity and legacy greatly matter to you, you should step up and be assertive to a principle that is colorless and not shady. It is one thing being unaware of what's going on in your Administration and another thing condoning by your actions the shady behavior of the people you've surrounded yourself with. Mr. Mahama, I think you are doing yourself a great disservice and that it is about time you get rid of the Deputy Attorney- General- Mr. Nerquaye-Tetteh, as well as your Solicitor-General- Mrs. Amma Gaisie of their posts because they have demonstrated clearly beyond any doubt that they are not beyond reproach and that their integrity is for sale and can be bought at any time as long as somebody is willing and ready to pay for the unethical and deplorable behavior.
