One FM station says the conflict is over 90 years old. Ghanaians should learn to ask right questions and seek the truths that lie at the bottom of issues. The mere mention of 90 years made the whole panel divert the discussion altogether. The fact is that 90 years or not, the case has been through legally constituted courts as far as the Supreme court and in all but one (whose decision was later quashed by a higher court, one faction has always won and declared the true owners of the land in dispute. So the solution, ask each party to produce the court decisions that said the land was theirs and you will know the aggressor. Finito.

My good old and young people of Alavanyo and Nkonya, It is obvious that the time has come for us to burry the past and forget it for the sake of development. This is not a war that Alavanyo or Nkonya will emerge a winner. But rather Alavanyo, Nkonya and Ghana as a nation will be the loosers. People died in the past through this war and I think all the parties involved gained or achieved nothing except lives were destroyed as well as properties. So by the law of averages none of the parties playing this sad game will be declared a winner. Please time to beat the weapons into farm impliments. The money ment for arms and amunitions can now be put into tuition to pave way for the much needed education. So my dear Alavanyo and Nkonya people, let us say bye-bye to this war and leave in peace for ever. Thank you all.

Can you go to court, win a case and then come home to negotiate? Do you think if NDC wins the current court case it will come back and negotiate because NPP disagrees? That is what those who are calling for mediation, negotiation , peace etc are trying to say. Compare the two and you will understand why Nkonyas pulled out of the negotiation. Dzamesi do you now understand? As simple as that. Nkonyas are not fools. Let us follow the law and common sense and stop professing useless solutions outside the court decisions. THEY WILL NOT WASH.

NDC government have u disarmed Nkonyas. Security was provided for Nkonyas i.e. soldiers and police. Alavanyo Kpeme are they not citzen s of Ghana. What I can tell you is that The Alvarnyos are MASTER craftsmen including the making of small guns and gun powder- ask anyone about the fierceness of the Alarvanyos, and you will be educated!

Anyway, the mere fact that these two people groups are neighbors mean they marry and are given in marriage to each other regularly and so they MUST not continue this war.. They MUST rather make peace and love, not war.

Finally, I think it is time for the government's special forces to take hold of this no man's land and as others have suggested, confiscate it and build a training barracks or something viable to inure to the benefit of Ghana and the entire area..

Read all the letters here; does a single one mentioned that the land belongs to Alavanyos? Can Alavanyo bring out a single court judgment in their favour. Tis tells you clearly that they have no case and are responsible for this atrocious attacks. It exposes all those trying to solve the problem through the back door like BISHOPS LODONU, REV. BOAME, PAST REGIONAL MINISTERS, TOGBE AND OTHERS calling for mediation and negotiation. The Nkonyas are not fools and will NEVER let go an inch of land to ANYBODY be t government or BISHOPS.
