The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”

The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?

The letter then goes on melodramatically, “As you leaf through these pages of my life’s story, I pray to God that it touches your heart in many positive ways. Weep not, I am not dead. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution...

The culture of impunity, 'bigmanship' and 'can't touch me' politics has been going on for too long,and you know who the worse culprits are. The axe must fall finally and loud mouth Awuku and those summoned on monday are bearing the brunt of it.The NPP attitude of using the law to subvert same will now hopefully be a thing of the past. The law has to be of practical and meaningful relevance to the common man. Your interpretation of the law is just for the privileged so spare poor Ghanaians the finer intricasies of the law.Besides, you the privileged class must thank Justice Atuguba for his intervention. Ghana is becoming a rougue country where these stupid young wide mouth pliticians who have no respect for the elderly would come out and talk any none-sense. The Supreme Court is not a market place for "venom-infested intellectuals" to practice their vicious trade. Those powers were given to the Supreme Court for a reason. When stupid self-seeking pundits get out of control, it behooves on the Supreme Court to rein them in. This is their domain and I believe they doing the right thing to impose some semblance of decorum and common sense. Even the cliché “Freedom of speech” has limits. This is a case of MAN PASS MAN. My choice is to disagree with the Presidential candidate, Mr Arthur Kobina Kennedy, because he is dressing abuse of freedom expression in a disrespectable context.

If contempt of the court is not tackled at this stage, what would happen after the Supreme Court decision is delivered for and against.

The SC is the firefighter and we must not interfere with the court by displaying our contempt to undermine their integrity: the SC is entitled to suspend the firefighting job to deal with those who are exhibiting their contempt before the court.

The rule of law must not be disrespected in any context. Our foreign investors take notice of any disrespect for stability in Ghana.

The SC is an independent institution sorting out Election dispute. The importance of the matter invites respect of the SC by all politicians and their supporters. Election is the tool for regulating political activities of political parties to ensure efficient running of the country. Threfore no citizen is entitled to hold the SC in contempt.

Allowing freedom of expression was not tolerated by the International Court Justice in sentencing 3 journalists who incited the Tutsi against the Hutus. Seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas’ includes expression which few societies could tolerate, such as incitement to murder or the sale of pornography to children. As a result, freedom of expression is not absolute and can be limited when it conflicts with other rights. Limitations are the exception, permitted only to protect: the rights or reputations of others, national security, public order, public health and morals. No civilized society will allow any unnecessary free press if it has no merit. Typical example is the wikileak where Julian Assange is wanted by the most democratic country and Edward Snowden is currently on the world most wanted man. Can you tell me these people are to be given a breathing space in the name of freedom of speech or expression?
Anyone who reads such piece can confirm that, Dr Arthur Kennedy is not matured in politics and one sided. SC has every right to silence anyone who prejudiced a very sensitive case before them. Please, these honourable men know what they are doing so allow them.
