  What is Alma "Marta", in the heading and what is "Alma Mata" in the first paragraph of the write-up? Journalism has really gone to the dogs. I believe gone are those days when we used to write "Alma Mater."

  If you journalists at GNA do not know how the word is spellt and what it means and when to use it, dont use it.
  
  Meanwile, the terms 'alma mater' and 'alumni' are used with regard to tertiary institutions and not primary and secondary schools. For pre-universtity institutions simply use 'school' and 'former students'.

  this school started as speed writing school describing shorthand by one kofi essel and the recent site was acquired after a deal struck between the late essel and the then district education officer. as usual it was chop chop business and every transaction was ever inflated and had never had any solid name worthy infrstrtucture unlike swesco which was and is part of nkrumah's education trust. swesbu became recognised with its famous 6th form, by producing excellency by draining bright commercial students, which was a new commercial studies dimensions. she was too young to have survived the curricular changes. please old students, remember how some of you went to school of adminstration through swesbu despite average o level perfomances that could have needed one year academic overhauling before admission. swesbu and sweteco have been a help to many gomoas and those who could not make it to the big cape coast and other big shots.
