Dear Mr. Abotsi, Thank you for your comment. I know about Rwanda in fact I visited Rwanda last year because my son works there. I know the pain they went through and that is why a want true democracy for Ghana so that we can all disagree agreeably. My father was detained in the first republic for attending JB Danquah's funeral. I had to flee Ghana during AFRC regime just because I was a successful public servant who will not follow radio instructions from faceless government official. Dictatorship is dangerous and for young people who has not seen it close, it is easy to ignore the signs. I live in US where for over 200 years the SC has not jailed anybody but there is stability because there is respect for law. I dis agree with what some of the commentators say in fact I find some of them distasteful, but I am more worried with a capricious SC which bullies citizens. GHANA will be peaceful if the institutions respect the law and the leaders model for the people example of responsibility. Force, intimidation and bulling will invariably explode and that is what we have to prevent.

Indeed, freedom of speech has a limit and beyond the limit, there is recklessness, disrespect, abuse of rights of others, chaos and danger. People like Mr. Adorye must be educated by the big people in the NPP to observe the limit. No means no! It's not a matter of human right and freedom of speech. It's a matter of state sovereignty, peace of a nation. May be, committal to three days or more jail terms isgood enough if that would save this nation from very brilliant young men who instead of looking for jobs like their other colleagues going to the FM stations to insult people who are far their parents. Ignorance inspite of their brilliance is the cause of this soceital problem we have as a nation.

Why did you people send the case to court, if you know everything better? Even your lawyers are quiet, yes, they are quiet because they know the correct thing. The case has not been ruled, NDC heats the temperature of its supporters and the NPP also heats its supporters from the other angle with war drums and results as they think it will be. Is that what you Adoryeh understands to be peaceful? No one knows what will happen when the case is ruled. The good ones are praying for peace, you eigther join them or keep silence. The Judges of the SC saw what would hapen if they don´t put a stop to that, hence the final warning. Please remain reasonable and stop writing for writing sake.

I don't blame such characters because they have violence blood running through their veins like their late fathers and mothers who never gave peace to our legendary Kwame Nkrumah to develop our country. they chased him all over with bombs until they finally kicked him out of the country on 24th February 1966. they are just a bunch of bloody people led by the Lilliputian who will go all out including the shedding of human blood because of political power. they have defied our land since the bloody coup of 1966!

Hopeson is indeed irresponsible and intellectually lazy. I thought he has travelled wide and claims to be educated that the socially disadvantaged in our communities. Seriously, how could you comment on a case which is in or being held in court?. Any comment regarding a case in court is prejudicial that's why -any broad minded or people with good knowledge of the law and court proceedings always caution us those who don't know the implication of such actions to be mindful of what we say. The court has the power in every land in the world to curtail such pre-judgement comments/statements so that a fair hearing or trial would maintain. It is not a matter of being a hero or I will speak my mind as our so called social commentators and half baked intellectuals do in Ghana. It is a matter of self-discipline and observing equity and fairness in all trial cases. Hopeful is a real disappointment. His comments are very misleading.

The contempt issues are precisely to STOP people undermining the authority and functioning of the court and to protect the very rights and freedoms of ALL citizens that some people claim to cherish so much and will do everything and anything to defend, yet cannot understand it when it is being defended against charlatans, propagandists and all those who wish to undermine those very freedoms through their deeds (and misdeeds).
