are we that block-headed? the same things keep happening and we keep singing the same tunes what is wrong with us? i was thinking by now individual property owners would be proactive by at least conducting inspections on their facilities. government through the various assemblies should act quickly and support individuals to conduct thorough inspections on their facilities and issued certificates of inspection. this should be the starting point. after that levies on properties should be imposed for this routine inspections. please lets get practical and stop the blame game.

This igp here in the UK is not considered as a police man because he has no police ground experience but a desk clerk which one must have police ground work before occupying the position of an igp. KNUST Hostel is classified as a 'Residential Accommodation' and is grade the same way as commercial property. It is the requirement for electrical installation to get such property inspected, tested and issue certificate at least every 5 years.
there should also be routine electrical check every year(12 month)to ensure the existing electrical installation is safe for continuous service.
Property owners are responsible to ensure the above steps. If such steps are not taken, then you put the users of the property(students live)at high risk.
MY QUESTION IS: WHO POLICE THESE REGULATIONS?. whose duty is to ensure property owners comply with the regulations?

Also, all electrical appliances imported to the country must be PAT tested before use(this is called Portable Appliance Testing)
Please, Ghanaians don't put your properties at such risk of burning it into ashes. Get your electrical installation inspect and test. Also ensure all Portable Appliance taken into your property is new or PAT tested before use. For more information Please contact:2es at 02081337550.
