They use the monies for the very reasons they were collected. Here in Ghana as we speak, a looting brigade has been formed to loot whatever money was accumulated for sometime.   These bribery and corruption is eating Ghana alive we need to discuss these and find an early solution to this. Even Cancer is now treatable. Has any body got a suggesting on how to get rid of this corrupt Cancer eating Ghana alive. We cant continue living lie this. Can laws be passed with heavy penalty imposed on any one caught indulging in that wicked and primitive bribery and corruption.

  Since before independence we have been plagued by all sorts of ruthless , vicious and willfully authoritative govts that all have one thing in common , denying the right of free speech and proper analysis of the motives and agendas they seek to keep hidden . Most of these govts were led by people who didnt belong to the majority but rather minority tribes and very marginal political clans . starting with nkrumah who is praised to high heaven but this same oligarchy , he st in motion a climate of fierce political antagonism whereby moderate minds of a liberal persuasion had no business in participating as only the radicals could stand the heat .The MOTIVE , be able to spend without consensus or agreement the wealth of the nation ie in today's jargon chop Ghana money some . This style and system of government was perfected by kwasea rawlings and today we have pepeni whose agenda is finalse the colonization of the majority , the Akans with the assistance of the homicidal ayigbe and the idiot pepefuo . they now use the institution called the supreme court to gag all free thinking individuals so the climate is set to enslave and now steal the oil and gas. they tell us nkrumah was so good so i say to them we hope ghana breaks up and their first presidents are just like him. when we secede we give them all the gold reserves in Switzerland and pay them another 20 billion on top so these ewes and pepefuo are rich and let their nkrumah come and spend that money in 2 years and leave them in debt for 2000 years , that is our revenge . hopefully their first nkrumah presidents are just as manipulative and propagandists so a greater part of that money is used to secure the unity of the universe as thats a very good thing not only african or nigger unity . the rest of the money we graciously leave them should be used in establishing useless unsustainable businesses that only feed other economies and drain their own . yes we wish them well as they have to us for over 60 years . we in the meantime Akans will build a nation truly worthy of our capabilities and potentials with a minimum wage of not less than 10,000 dollars so our beers in our bars are at least 100 dollars so these pepefuo and ayigbe idiots can not afford to visit us just like the Japanese do to their ndc idols the Chinese , long live the republic of Akan

  We must pay our due taxes and at the same time we must find the right solution to the bribery and corruption that is eating Ghana alive. Mr. Crusader, The staff at Embassies need to pick up their mops and clean their facilities. If you pay your tax on time, yes the Government can afford to buy more toilet tissues for the Embassies. We always want to complain, but when it comes to contributing our fair share to help Mother Ghana we hide. We need your tax money if not then the Government will use any means available to extract the money from you. Mr.Crusader help the Nation by paying you six cents tax when you use your cell phone. We,as Ghanaian Nationals, do not want to help ourselves, always sitting down and waiting for handout from foreign Governments. Note that it about time we help ourselves. These Foreign Countries are tired of us, always begging for aids. We need to pay our taxes.

I have company in Ghana and I pay corporate tax of 25% (it has now been increased to 30%), import charges of anything between 25 to 45% (excluding the recent increment), VAT of 12.5%, metropolitan assembly levy, employees' SSNIT contribution, my income tax to name a few and in addition to all that, i had to get a generator due to ongoing loadshedding and drill a borehole because there has been water for over a year. Believe it or not, I had to 'give' some one GHC500 to get my VAT invoice booklet to enable me pay VAT!! Mr. Mangotsonyanobi i pay my fair share of taxes and i believe i have the right to express my frustration. Oh by the way, do not think that the handouts are '"handouts" they have very dubious strings attached. Finally i made no mention of toiletries anywhere, i was referring to the wastage of money at our embassies.

  We need to support Mother Ghana no matter who is in power. Taxes need to be paid . You should be glad, you are blessed enough to afford to ship things to Ghana and at the same time helping the Ghana economy by hiring Ghanaians to work in your corporation
  Those of us who have been blessed with businesses and living in foreign lands should emulated Mr. Crusader example in investing in Ghana economy

  Do you know that since they brought that CST bill into effect by Atta mortuary man NDC. the government as we speak charges 17USA cent a minute for all incoming overseas call. this now tax would have add another 6 USA cent per minute total 23 USA cent a minute tax on incoming calls to Ghana, the highest in the world. I stand to be corrected.
  This will set us back in our developments. China. USA, UK, Nigeria and so any countries don't charge any thing. They get their taxes from the profit the Phone companies made and VAT on the phone out going call Bills not incoming phone calls.

In Belgium the country is moving forward because of the taxes, but the taxes also goest direct into the goverment accounts therefore no one has access to steal it for personal use. there is a central bank accounts where all taxes and fines goes direct. It is not paid cash it is done automatically when for example u buy food from the shop u pay 21% tax from the total and the government sees it right away u dont need to employ people to collect them. Our ministers who have had the opportunity to stay outside knows it but they will never agree because of selfish interest. U dont need any university degree to know this. Ghana government wake up and establish a central bank accounts number where all taxes will be paid directly.

Calls to Ghana now from US ranges from 18 to 28 cents/min which is too high. Calling love ones back in Ghana should not be a luxury. Go ahead and I will cut down my calls to Ghana.

  The government should be very careful about the way it is going about this bills.Communications is very important tools to developing a country such as ours.The government should rather try and sort out ways and means of taking back our Ghana Telecom which was dubiously and criminally sold by Kufour and his cronies after NPP members have been given a five thousand dollars bribe each.Why should Ghanaians suffer and pay for a criminal act by Kufour and his gangs.We deserve better.Why should a single secondhand mobile phone sent to Ghana attract a tax more than the amount it has purchased? Citizens of Naija, India and almost the Asiatic continent can talk more for less from abroad, they have high population so unit cost is less anyway, Ghana can improve the telecom network to allow Ghanaians abroad talk more to relatives. After all, govt do nothing to them at home. A Ghanaian abroad is so poor that you have to send home now and often, because Gh govt seems not improving standard of living.
  
  Mahama under Mills praised they are earning more from remittances to families from abroad. K4 also said the same thing during his term. But that disgraces them so much, if a country relies on this economically, it got no future. It means bad mgt by govt make citizens poor and families abroad couldnt come home for 'funeral'of their loved ones, hence they squeeze to send money home.

Those phone that can be used in Ghana are not registered. Meaning that every phone used in Lebanon is registered with serial number. You either buy a phone used it in Lebanon and cannot used it Ghana or buy a phone to used it Ghana and cannot used in Lebanon. There are charges on credit that u even buy. All these are done to get revenue for the government. NPP dont sit down and pretend to know while you dont. Shame on u all.

  Please just reduce the size of our government. We need sensible answers to the following questions:
  1. Do we need over 200 members of parliament?
  2. Can we sustain the number of ministers and deputy ministers running around?
  3. How much do we as a nation fork out each month to support this bloated government?
  4. Why so many quasi-government entities?
  
  Our leaders have not done anything to justify tax increases. The government needs to shed more fat before asking the citizens to pay more taxes. It is sad that all this money will be used for the fat paychecks of our politicians and ministers who don't know anything except spending.
