Hon Bonsu is right. The future of our so far thriving democracy will largely be influenced by the ability of party supporters to demand and get intra-party transparency, democratic governance within the parties, tolerance for dissent within the parties and especially if party suppoerters can elect party leaders who have the nation as first priority and can think beyond party lines. Parliamentarians can provide the push but they need the support of the public to get narrow-minded party leaders off their back1

Also Dr Nduom asked why DCEs are not elected, and the NPP scoffed at him. Today they are the minority and they are talking about compromised parliamentarians not doing their Jobs as overseers. 1)Most of the seats are empty on both sides.
2)The few members who are in their seats are either talking among themselves, or on their mobile phone talking or texting and virtually not paying attention to what is been said on the floor of the house and is quite disgusting.
The other time a member was asked to go out and dress properly..what is all this if they cannot do the job they should should resign honourably without the title "honourable"
