Viewed from a different angle, the dismissal of the motion does afford the petitioners a golden opportunity to substantiate their claims with credible evidence, which will be very critical to the final outcome of the case. Let's read the SC's comments and rulings analytically and not be thrown into a state of ecstacy by misleading newspaper reports. The issues before the SC are very technical with legal implications. The petitioners intended to use some sheets from the 1,545 that were excluded from the count by KPMG to cross-examine a witness to which the respondents vehemently opposed because, according to them, they were outside the scope. The petitioners sought to recall the KPMG for an inclusionary count because, according to them, most of the rejected sheets could be identified as opposed to KPMG'S contention that they were illegible. The respondents objected to such request. However, the supreme court rejected petitioners request to bring KPMG back to recount but allowed the petitioners to list out the identifiable sheets for respondents to answer. So who wins ?

What SC said is a green light given to NPP that as many as could be identified can still be added. So I do not see why NDC must jump to hurray on this. Indirectly, SC has ruled in favor of NPP, that is what it means. I'm sure NDC will just wake to hear one of this days that Mahama is removed and that will shock them as their Atubiga said.

His decision to petition the court in my opinion, was to expose the sleazy way the ruling party (NDC) had used to change the true election results to their benefit. Secondly, you should know by now that some of the so called investors, be it local or foreign investors do not have the welfare of Ghanaians at heart. All that they are interested in and at the back of their diabolical mind, is to enrich themselves i.e. to "chop" Ghana big and at the expense of Ghanaians and in complicity with the corrupt government we currently have. Have you forgotten the recent Supreme Court decision that asked our Government to recover a $25 million payment they knowingly and in complicity with some Government's very high officials in the Attorney - General's Department and other Government Departments fraudulently duped Ghana?. So,for you to say that investors are now shying away from investing in Ghana because of Mr. Akuffo-Addo is excuse me to say, childish, irresponsible and unpatriotic. It is about time, you recognize that some investors do not have Ghana at heart and care less about the welfare of Ghanaians.

In my opinion, this ruling would help the NPP as the judges are actually counting these pink sheets because they are effectively allowing those 1500 pink sheets to be used by the petitioners in the case.

Remember Addison`s reply to the question about how these "unclear" pinks sheets came to form part of their exhibits - oh, just blame the second respondents! they even used the wonderful phrase - suppresion of evidence. Whose 'evidence'?
Would that include the info contained on pink sheets from Asokwa and other NPP 'strongholds' to which these petitioners have applied a 'hands off'
or DO NOT TOUCH attitude?

Why is counsel for the petitioners trying to 'stretch' he facts? Having had a credible and neutral referee to painstakingly count, categorise and label the pink sheets, and having made their recommendations about clear and UNIQUE (i.e. single identifiable MATCHING) pink sheets which tally between the petitooners' own lot and that of the president of the court, they file a motion stating that EXCLUDING the 'dodgy' 1545 pink sheets (which can ONLY BE the result of duplications, triplications and perhaps even 'forgery')will be tantamount to "excluding evidence"!!!

What a cheap, arrogant, dangerous and false posture to adopt. In other words, if they lose the case (which in my considered opinion is extremely weak with all their catalogue of errors and a terribly incompetent and grossly unreliable star witness), then they will have the independent referee KPMG to blame for their loss!! ?How very unfair and wicked?

Has it occurred to anyone that the NPP petitioners so far have blamed the president, the NDC, the Electoral Commission, the supreme court and its justices and now the KPMG for their woes? How very incredible. ???To fair minded and honest, balanced Ghanaians and people the world over, I believe it is becoming crystal clear how disingenuous the petitioners have been.

I have always argued that the credibility of the petitioners lies to a large extent on whether their insistence that they filed the right number of pink sheets and in their (Dr Bawumia's) "analysis", they NEVER used any pink sheet "more than once". Repeated questions from counsels for the respondents drew the same indignant, forceful, frustrating, yet calculated answer from Dr Bawumia, that he "never used any pink sheet more than once".

Things now seem to be unraveling and I believe those of us who were critical of Dr Bawumia and argued that he was not an 'honest, sincere and credible' witness are being proved to be right.

Of course it is up to ht justices to make for themselves what they would, in the overall scheme of things, but the EXTRA pink sheets could not have been from any other yet unidentified polling stations. If they were, the petitioners would have been the FIRST to identify them and we wouldn't be where we are now.

I find it totally insulting to Ghanaians, our electoral process and EC, and our democracy and its credibility if people who go to court bearing what they want the whole world to believe is a GENUINE GRIEVANCE can actually behave in this manner. They continue to confuse themselves and everyone else.

They accuse the EC of "gross irregularities and errors" which in their view affected the results and somehow 'disadvantaged their candidate against the declared ( and in my view rightly so) winner of the presidential polls.

Yet they cannot even get their own sums right (despite weeks and months of trying against the EC's own 2 days of collating national polls). They want the world to believe it is ONLY their analysis of the situation and the numbers that IS correct and even a credible auditing firm CANNOT get it right in their eyes!!!

These guys have argued, behaved badly (and they continue to do so in and outside court) and harrassed people (including the KPMG) and try to 'bully and bulldoze' their way and their so-called evidence through courts (real, and public opinion) and cannot even see that people can see through their 'deceit'.

I cannot see where they are going with this and frankly I am inclined to agree with Dr Wireko-Brobbey when he says the "NPP lacks leadership".

The last honourable thing Akufo-Addo could to to restore his own statesmanship and credibility and show leadership is to call his team together, reflect deeply and come to court and tell the judges and all Ghanaians (in the interests of our democracy, fairness, peace and integrity) that they withdraw their case.

They can then put forward genuine and sensible ideas to be considered to make our future elections even more robust, transparent, fair and better. If they did this, frankly they will be on the way to restoring their credibility among Ghanaians and will stand a much better chance in 2016 than is currently the case.

I offer this advice completely out of my patriotic duty and passion for the unity progress of mother Ghana and don't quite care what the blind NPP followers would say. Let us stop this 'merry go round' and accept defeat and get our country back on track. This is costing us too much and we seem to be going no where fast.

If the KPMG after a painstaking scrutiny could not 'figure out' these sheets, you expect the amateurish NPP counsel to identify them correctly? Why if they were serious, have they not employed the services of an expert in hand-writing to assist their team? Have you thought of that?

The long and short of it is that the petitioners (truth be told) went on a "fishing expedition" hoping that out of their petition something seriously untoward will turn up.

They are still 'fishing' as we can all see, but it seems they need 'the appearance of the Christ on the water" to direct them 'where to cast their net' but frankly I don't see that happening.

Afarigyan receives the final results from the collation centres that passed through the strong room,ceritfied by all parties before releasing the result to the public even though the public is already aware of it in the various constituencies.the media coverage of what happen on the D day is another proof.Afarigyan did not use pink sheets to do the declaration. I have never seen a oldman like Tsatsi who lie with no shame. NPP and co were happy for KPMG to audit the pink sheets, sadly Tsatsi been so stupid, thinks he can forget more than any Ghanaian.
We all saw him in the supreme court saying NPP and co were against KPMG Auditing the pink sheets. Ghanaians are not as stupid as Tsatsi sees us. Why should he lie knowing its about who is to be our President. You dont lie to be a president, if you do, you will be a lier for ever.
Its an advantage for Addison when it comes to cross examinating Afari Gyan EC. Addison has been waiting for this chance, 1,545 pink sheets to use to cross examine Gyan.
Gyan will resign as EC before Addison finish with him. Error Errors is all what Gyan will be saying and the error errors are going to be John Mahama down fall.
1,545 pink sheets are all going to be added to 8,000 plus pink sheets and that makes Nana Addo the winner of 2012 presidencial election.
If even Tsatsi and his team dont want the 1,545 added, John Mahama will still have 47% of the popular vote and that cant make him our president. Nana Addo and his Lawyers wants to win out right, thats why they need only 300 of the 1,545 pink sheets.
Addison is the most honest Lawyer in Ghana so far. I can wait to see Tsatsi face when Addison starts with Error Errors Afari Gyan.

What baffles me in this instance is the fact that, what seems to be the bone of contention in the petitioners case is being overlooked. I am not a lawyer but I believe the capital reason for the petitioners action in court is about such irregularities. In effect, if those 1,545 pink sheets cannot be properly identified, then it should stand to reason to use them to buttress the petioners case.This is my opinion, and to avoid being dragged to the court, I would say I am not being contemptuous here. I rest my point.
