High domestic borrowing crowds out the private sector and collapses businesses thereby increasing unemployment. The administration must steer this nation off debt crisis. We have learnt lessons from the HIPC experience, and we should not repeat it,” Mr Osafo Maafo said.

The fifth step to solving the economic crisis, which Mr Osafo Maafo noted should be a "top priority for the government, is job creation."

In fact, the SC is really wasting time that is why this crooks think they still stand a chance, where on earth have you seen SC removing democratically elected president and putting in a 70 years old drug baron, greedy and arrogant man as president? You have been found out and God will punish you for wasting Ghanaian tax-payers money. Npp is now for dogs, especially with people like sir john in the helm of affairs of the party. By the way, taxation could be looked at including tax loop holes and the 'non-payment of taxes' in certain sectors. Don't you think this could be achieved without raising the 'tax burden' of the ordinary man who has enough to contend with in the present climate?

It's going to burden firms and households. When the economy was in comatose during NPP's reign, they went to borrow 750 million Euros on the euro bond market. Have we completed buying back this security, the answer is a resounding NO. When there was no money to finance the wage bill, pronto, they sold off not only Ghana Telecom at a song, but added other allied services to the bargain. They should rather shut up and allow the NDC to fix the economy. They talk about judgement debts paid (unfortunately) by the NDC government due to their greed and corruption, as if it was the NDC government that created the fertile conditions for Waterville, Woyome and Isofton to hold the country to ransom. Hypocrites.

(1) Government should stop given scholarships to students and make a provision of easy acceessible to
student loans.
(2)Government should stop awarding 100% both housing and roads contracts to foreign countries unless the government has faith in local contractors and award them contructs to let the money stays in the country and foreign contractors ship the earn money to the country leaving Ghana nothing and only inherit finish product.
(3)Government should stop given our resources to foreigner for free that is 90% and demand 10% and travelled around the world begging for money.
(4) Government should increase taxes on imported products that are coming to kill local produce goods.These goods come to kill local industries and government don't get to tax locals in various forms both direct or indirect.
This is the best solution to the economic crisis
