As long as we just keep deporting them, they will keep coming.
They have broken our laws and PRISON before deportation is the only solution to this yellow-menace.
Then from now on, take GHC10,000 deposit either when they apply for visa or when they arrive.
Any foreigner can pick him/herself off the slums and gutters in their own country, come to Ghana and be made a chief or given land or allowed to do as they like and treat Ghanaians with contempt.
Believe me it only happens in Ghana.

Ask the teachers, nurses and GYEEDA workers. Which of these category of workers will you prefer? Are you also not toiling in Norway? How is the cold?

They avoid paying tax and put little back into the communities where they operate. They refused to pay the 10% windfall tax proposed in the budget two years ago, threatening to go to court.

They are taking the greater share of our oil and are again paying no tax.

The Chinese, by contrast, are Johnny-just-come.

Yes, the illegal livelihood of some foreigners and Ghanaians may be disturbed or stopped, however the ill effects of Galamsey still remains and will last for years to come having a negative impact on all of us. What do we get in return for galamsey? Dead rivers with no fish, poisonous underground water systems that make us sick and ill with cancer due to the toxic chemicals being used in the processing and washing of gold, cocoa farms being destroyed randomly by heavy industrial machines, the entire environment being upset by greedy government officials who take bribes and turn the other way, including persons selling guns and ammunition to foreigners. Of course the chiefs must be blamed as well as the government -NDC, NPP and CPP and all the military juntas in between. They have all betrayed us. Give Mahama credit for at least setting up a task force under Fuseini to save "We The People" and our survival!!!To date, no comment on galamsey from Nduom, Akuffo Addo, Jerry Rawlings etc. that we are aware o.f If these people care for Ghana, then they should step up in support of the efforts of government in dealing with galamsey. This is a serious situation, and time is not on our side. Our Forests, Rivers, Streams , Cocoa Farms, Amankani Farms and Cassava Farms etc. must be protected and saved. We are being forced to eat snails, bush rats, akomfem, rabbits and even our food stuff that has to a greater extent been poisoned through the use of hazardous chemicals that in turn seep through the roots of the plants we consume. Not to mention the water we drink in these villages. So YES GLAMSEY IS DANGEROURS TO OUR HEALTH!!!
Let the culprits go back to China, Nigeria, India, Pakistan or elsewhere to poison their own people and lands.

Some estimates have been given in the region of 50000 Chinese illegals. The source of this figure is not clear. If it is correct, then we have a lot more work to do to rid ourselves of these illegals.

A permanent unit should be set up to flush out and deport illegals.
