I think it is a long time that government workers, no matter what position one occupies to be paid well to cater for his/or her own accommodation, transport and reduce the burden of the government. All you know after paying the accrued rent, the landlord may ask for renovation as it may be the terms for occupying the building even before vacating it.

These are some of the things killing Ghana. Besides soldiers who live at various barracks, all other workers have to pay their rent, light and water bills. Everything to be paid by the government. That is why we are where we are. We always think it is government's this and that and we don't even take good care of them. This is just total rubbish. In many developed economies, even the police do not live at the station except sometimes a skeleton staff. The Police rent their own houses and rooms. They live among the people and pay their own rent. Living among the people even provide extra security for the people. Ghana needs some real changes.

The prison officers locked out of their homes for nonpayment of rent is the benefit of better Ghana agenda the country is enjoying.Mahama waste Ghc8.7billion + Ghc 600million in less than three months without providing a complete a single project for them to be proud of and parliament has approved GHC 32billion plus Govt selling bonds of both US$ and EUROS of 1 billion each and still Mahama has not implement a single project.Mahama must go he does not deserve the presidency.The mojo is nit there.Mahama,if the there is not there don't force the there to be there.
