Ghanaians have got something to do but this is an eye opener to the electoral commission. It is doubtful that Nana Addo will be asked to be the President and that Mahama should step down. The best that can happen may be that the SC can ask for re election at some places. Now this SC case is having its toll on Ghana and Ghanaians but it will also remind the EC that Ghanaians have come of age and have to be careful with future elections. This petition has been peaceful so far but who knows about the future. The EC as a matter of urgency should do well to plug all the loop holes that have created all these problems.

Did Ghana actually celebrate its 56th Anniversary on 6th March 2013? What is there to be celebrated? Is it the high level of corruption in the system, the numerous environmental challenges being faced, the weak public institutions, misappropriation of state funds in public institutions, the lack of basic amenities for the ordinary Ghanaian, high level of youth unemployment , poor and selfish Leadership, the incompetent workforce OR What?

Despite our country being endowed with an abundance of natural resources such as Rich soil, Timber, Gold, Bauxite, Salt, Diamond, Solar energy, an amazing Climate, Oil, etc. that have facilitated the development of many countries; Ghana sits on all these RESOURCES yet remains POOR. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MOTHER GHANA?

After 56 years, we lack essential needs such as; Good health care, Potable Water, Good roads, Stable Electricity, LPG, etc.

What really kills my spirit is the excessive abuse and degradation of our land resources, water resources and mineral resources. Is there any river in Ghana which has not been polluted? River Tano, Pra, Ankobra, Oti, Offin, etc. have all been polluted. Our agriculture land is at a serious risk due to the uncontrolled mining activities of illegal miners. What about the Chinese? They are illegally mining everywhere in the country leading to serious land and water pollution which could have serious repercussions in the not too distant future. Are the Environmental Protection Agency and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources still functioning in the country? If they are, what are they doing?

Why is the Government not enforcing the regulations that the state spent millions of cedis to enact? Despite the numerous concerns raised by Ghanaian, the president and the state institutions responsible seems not to care about the situation. Mr. President, have you actually considered the negative impact of these activities on posterity? What will happen to our beloved country by the next 20 years if this nuisance is not curtailed?

The government boasted of the yield of cocoa in 2010 that Ghana has achieved one million tons of cocoa. This is good enough to rejoice over. But my question is whether it is sustainable? Look at the number of cocoa farms that have been cut down or destroyed either for or by galamsey activities. Go to Amansie area (Manso), Dunkwa, Western Region, Eastern Region and the rest and see how cocoa farms have been destroyed. I am afraid; we can hardly sustain our cocoa yield until this menace stops.

Come to think of it, is Ghana going to spend 13750000 Ghana Cedis every four years as housing allowances for MPs? Even half of this money can be used to build very respectable MPs village which will accommodate our MPs. After their term of office, others will come and inhabit them. This will be beneficial to Ghana today and to posterity. Have our leaders considered this? Is it lack of basic economic managerial skills or it is just self-centeredness?

Ghanaians have really become slaves in the hands of our own leaders. They think mainly about themselves and their families and not mother Ghana. What a pity!

I do not see why Ghana continuously depends on foreign aids. When are we going to be fully responsible for our own needs? Amazingly, those who give us these so called aids do not have as much natural resources as Ghana. What is wrong with Ghana?

To the developed countries that are always giving to Ghana; you are not helping us to develop. If you think you are the master fishers, then teach Ghanaians how to fish instead of giving us the fish. After giving us the fish, you come back in well calculated ways to eat back what you have given to us. Are you doing us harm or good?

Let me rest here, it is too painful to continue writing on the problems of Ghana. Oh God, Come to our aid because GHANA IS VERY SICK!!!!!!!!!!

Information reaching Adom News indicates that a set of twin babies have been delivered into a public toilet at Ntsin, near Cape Coast Castel in the Central Region.

Adom News Central Regional Correspondent, Kafui Justice, reported that the incident happened at about 2.50pm today.

The operator of that public toilet, Maame Esi Fynba, told Kafui Justice the babies were discovered by another visitor to the toilet minutes after a teenage girl had visited the toilet and left.

But Maame Fynba could not confirm whether the young lady suspected to have delivered the babies into the pit was pregnant.

The babies are said to have sunk into the latrine pit, and the particular pit is smeared with the blood of the supposed mother.

Reports say the police have been informed, but as at the time of going to press, they had still not showed up.

Meanwhile, reliable sources say that area is awash with teenage pregnancy.

This statute is used in many contexts to cover-up crimes such as perjury, false declarations, and obstruction of justice ….this is what exactly this guy is doing. Unfortunately these NINE WIGLORDS on the bench sees nothing wrong with Afair Gyan Making mockery of the court by making false statements

Addison is a big time jerk, he made some affirmative misrepresentations today in court, by seeking to tender an adulterated and fictitious extract of the official voters registrar to indict Dr Afari Djan, when caught he was embarrassingly allowed then, to withdraw without any sanctions, after making legal arguments based on a knowingly false representation of law which constitutes dishonesty toward the EC and the supreme court. This shows that our supreme court is comical and a mockery at best, and a bastion of 'grumpy old men and ladies' beyond belief. If such misrepresentation can go unchallenged, I do not know what to anticipate from a court whose propensities are becoming seemingly juvenile at best and insidious. This is a whole country being hijacked by disgruntled egomaniacs and all we do is sweep maleficent ill fated character assassinating encumbrances under the carpet? Addison should have been sanctioned and perhaps jailed for forgery! There was even a supreme court lady judge who concurred with Addison in his effort to tarnish Afari Djan's image with that falsified EC voters registrar extract. Addison is smarter than you may think. He has managed to force Afari Djan to admit mistakes,inconsistencies and duplications of polling stations on pink sheets which he,in his earlier testimony, had explained were due to added results from special elections. A duplication he attributed to ordering double sheets with anticipation of added entries to the eight field of contestants.

But the cross examination revealed much more than the duplicate sheets - triplicates and quadruplicates which admittedly took Afari Djan by surprise over discovery.

Addison further supplied some extracts from a soft copy of a registry supplied to them by the EC. This he quoted pages 6 and 7 to bait and confuse the witness into bringing his original copy which he Addison had struggled to get as evidence but had been strongly denied through a barrage of interruptive objections and lengthy roller coaster lectures from Tsatsu and friends. With respondent's lack of objection looming his withdrawal of evidence set a breathing tempo for a fast moving process which required time to deal with the enormity of work to put his cross examination in order and paved way for request to tender into evidence Afari Djan's covetuous original registry - the bedrock of all that will be needed to torpedoe his defense.

Ministers saving government loans in their individual foreign accounts and keeping the interest accrued before releasing the capital to nation's coffers. In fact, the SC is really wasting time that is why these crooks think they still stand a chance. Where on earth have you seen SC removing democratically elected president and putting in a 70 years old drug baron, greedy and arrogant man as president? You have been found out and God will punish you for wasting Ghanaian tax-payers money.

Why don't you discuss the merit or demerit in his assertions? Let's get away from personalizing issues and deal with each issue on merits. This is what educated people do. Have a debate where you can safely bring your points to the floor without insults and denigrating your fellow Ghanaians. Let me remind you that before for Dr. Kwame Nkrumah got his PhD in the USA he was an uneducated villager. You'd see what he offered the nation. Just take away the tribalism and we would go much further.

You would think it would be so easy! If the constitution creaters/framers had done their homework well, an insertion should have been that whenever one party can file a court case to prove irregularities, an injunction should be sought and nobody should be declared and sworn in as president until the case is settled. There are errors/mistakes: light and grevious, which one would you let pass? Do you realize how much time, effort and resources went into the parties campaigning till the election day and for somebody to try and outsmart everybody and impose his/her vested interest as president? Think again. Ghana would benefit from this election petition and the people would be wiser.

Addison is smarter than you may think. He has managed to corner Afari Djan to admit mistakes, inconsistencies and duplications of polling stations on pink sheets which he,in his earlier testimony, had explained were due to added results from special elections - a duplication he attributed to ordering double sheets with anticipation of growing entries to the eight field of contestants.

However, the cross examination revealed a much more striking fable hehind that assertion : duplicate sheets - triplicates and quadruplicates which admittedly took Afari Djan by surprise when Addison bared them to public discovery.

Addison further supplied some extracts from a soft copy of a registry supplied to them by the EC. He quoted pages 6 and 7 to bait and confuse the witness into bringing his original copy which he Addison had struggled to get as evidence but had been strongly denied through a barrage of interruptive objections and lengthy roller coaster lectures from Tsatsu and friends. It is obvious to the reasonable mind that with respondent's lack of objection looming, his withdrawal of evidence set a breathing tempo for a fast moving process which required time to deal with the enormity of work to put his cross examination in order and to pave way for request to tender into evidence Afari Djan's covetuous original registry - the bedrock of all that will be needed to torpedoe his defense.

The world is witnessing the fall of a man who had earned respect for his masterly stewardship of electoral processes in a nation tugged between nations reputed as hotbeds of political agitations often mixed with violence and mayhem.

It has been hard to watch Afari Djan display a docile demeanour when confronted with questions revealing intrigues of his underground manipulations of elections hurriedly put together against all odds and prudence.

It will be hard to explain why certain obvious violations must be downplayed with serious mindedness. It is also difficult to understand the motive behind his surrender of prestige in exchange for this high ignominy.

This case affirms the old adage : All that glitters is not gold. I am completely shattered.

If you have duplicates and quadruplicates on thesame pinksheet with different results, doesn't that raise suspicion to the sensible mind? For eg, if you child comes home with a report card or cards - same serial number (because report sheets do have numbers). Now the entries have A's and B's on one and a mixture of B's, C's and D's on theo thers. As a parent will you not wonder what is going on with the class teacher: which of the 2 or 3 or 4 entries are the true results for your ward? If he or she is denied entry into the SHS of his/her choice, will you not fight to ensure that the right grades are recorded and applied properly? So the report card/sheet is our pinksheet in this case. Very important.

Every election has been challenged by both NPP or NDC crying foul but none of them until now had the resource and capability to challenge the SC. Some Ghanaians for now will not appreciate what is going on in the SC but in some years to come we will all reap it's benefits.

If there were such malfeasants, did they IMPACT on th election resulting in declaring the presidency? If yes, then Mahama will be asked to STEP ASIDE.

The main reason why the petitioners dragged the respondents to court was to prove that the Presidential election was won fraudulently and therefore should be ANNULLED, but if the court will remedy the situation by plugging the "loop holes" in our elections as you put it, it's up to the court to do so, but the REASON WHY this case is before the court is not about plugging the so called loop holes, but ANNULLING the 2012 presidential election result.

This is soo bad and if it happened in previous elections and NO ONE confronted EC, then bravo to these NPP petitioners who have brought this forward. It has changed our electoral process forever. Do we even need a collation centre? Get a giant board with an excel sheet, list all polling stations on there, set in your formulars and as an when results come in, put it on the spreadhseet and it will automatically add for all to see. The most important step then becomes getting qualified people on the ground to ensure that what should be done before, during and after votes are counted are properly adhered to!

We all know KPMG came up with alomst 9,800 pink sheets excluding approx 1500 pink sheets which KPMG did not count because they said the serial numbers etc where not very clear. So in reality they did file over 11,000 pink sheets. Don't come and do propaganda here.

If you have followed carefully the proceedings, it has been pointed out that there are pink sheets in the judges copies which are not in the petitioners or the defendants and vice versa. Personally if we could put our political lenses aside, we would all realise this petition will expose the failings of the EC, an institution we all once thought was without fault. It will possibly lead to a more water tight election process for future elections. If this happens, who benefits? Ghana of course.

Addison is trying his best. The problem is that he has to face three formidable lawyers for the respondents. Secondly the petitioners did not think about the volume of work to be done. They took some risks which backfired. These are a few:
1. They never believed the SC would order them to give better particulars, they had anticipated that all parties would come to court with their own pink sheets.
2. they tried very cunningly to dissuade the NDC from joining the case, pointing out that the case had nothing to do with the political parties, but NDC was smarter, the NDC lawyer has become the nemesis of the petitioners in court
3.Their opposition to an earlier demand for a count, and failure their resort to publishing a twisted KPMG report in Daily Guide which later on turned their undoing
Now Addison is left to prolong the exercise as long as NPP supporters can bear so as to diminish the effects of these 3 points on the minds of the justices. It seemed almost a year ago, he is succeeding in that. But like Tsatsu discovered, Addison is also getting the feeling of impatience from the SC members, if he persist in this piecmeal and trecherous approach to wear down Afari Gyan, he would wake up from the wrong side of his bed. For Afari Gyan in his evidence in chief,had already answered most of the questions Addison is still burnt on asking. It is not that there are no irregularities, the one million dollar question is "To what extent did that affect the results?"
