What a shame that in this day and age we must live in fear of the Supreme Court arbitrarily calling citizens to court by television announcement and throwing them into jail at their whims and caprices.

And to make it worse, there citizens who are cheerleading the bench. For close to 19 years we looked on, some of us quietly but others actively in the pounding and hounding that took place under Jerry Rawlings.

Why are we voluntarily handing our freedom to an unelected bench. Why must we accept this "shock and awe" posture from the supreme Court?

Should we not be asking the justices to stop reading the Daily Guide, the daily post, the enquirer while the petition last?

Are we not entiltled to question the integrity of any tape coming out from Radio Gold?

These alledged contemnors, are they not entitled to due process? Are they not entitled to question thir acusers and their motives?

And finally may I ask: Is Justice Atuguba trying to prevent a war in Ghana or is he trying to determine the petition on the basis of evidence and sound law?
