Kuffour knew the chicanery of the IMF that is why he weaned Ghana from it. Remember that Jerry had borrowed so much money from IMF and they were basically dictating Ghana's economic policy.
Kola, if Government cannot pay workers on time, some are not even paid for years, When government cannot even make covered culverts, then Ghana is not broke? Blame everything on NPP but remember that it does not need Rocket Science or A PhD in economics for the average Ghanaian to realize the economy is not good. Blame NPP but remember that Collins Dauda is not NPP. He was bold to say that there is no money to make covered culverts. Does it not hit you that Ghana is broke? Did Mahama himself not say once that what is left is the bones?

This NDC gov't is the worst team ever to have found themselves in gov't and their penchant for lying and twisting the facts when it is staring at them right in their face is indeed, pathetic. The TUC, the world bank, even the governor of the Bank of Ghana, as well as various other bodies monitoring the finances and the economy of the country, have all come to the same conclusion. Indeed, per the report from the Gov't statistician which was released a couple of weeks ago, all the various sectors were trending downwards - a clear indication of an economy in distress. The NDC team headed by John Mahama instead of biting the bullet of their failed policies and their incontestable incompetence and ineptitude, have conveniently termed them as challenges, with the result that, the country continues to sink with the result that, social protection measures that should have helped the less vulnerable in society are now being eroded in the form of mores taxes on cutlasses, energy saving bulbs, condoms, etc, etc. The NDC team is incapable of solving the problems of the masses and to the discerning mind, it is very obvious that such incompetence and ineptitude does not bode well for the fortunes of Ghanaians.
