You can only edit a electronic pdf but not hardcopy pdf. please put more clarification to it if you want to be honest. EC never gave electronic pdf to the parties.

PDF can only come in as electronic form. Once you print a pdf document, it is no longer a pdf. And also you can scan the document as pdf and use Acrobat XI to edit scanned doc.

Turn your bewilderment on the learned man, Addison, who tried to mislead the court that PDF file format cannot be altered. It is a file format for capturing and sending electronic document in the intended format, but it is not tamper-proof or cannot be doctored.

And tactically if the witness does not ask for time to verify, petitioner would not accord him/her ample time, because the witness' mistake or oversight is to the petitioner's advantage. That is what petioner yearns for. I am generalizing.

You have to catch it there and then and react. A wool could be pulled on the eye of a witness in cross examination and his/her asnwer cannot be retracted or if an exhibit is not scrutinised and appropriate move made
and is tendered, it will be too late to adversely react if your previous action to letting it slide by was not done purposely to enhancee your address when the time comes.

As an IT professional, Addison is right if the KB,MG(Bytes), modificiation date and time are the same as the origional. These can be checked in the properties of the document. You don't need any 3rd Party software to edit PDF documents: you need Adobe Professional, which contains Adobe Distiller. Using that, you'll open any PDF document and make changes to it, provided the documents are NOT secured. I have personally edited over 100 PDF files.

Also: note also that most of the file properties can be programatically changed. You cannot even use just file size: suppose a file contains 'ABCDE' and I change the contents to 'FGIJK', the file size will be the same ie 5Byte, but content has changed.

Uisng NPP+, I could even open a photo (in JPG) and change the timestamp (date and time the foto was taken) and resaved the image.

The most genuine way to check a file is comparing the MD5 of that file. The file CRC may also be used but not so reliabe!

Also a document that has been dramatically altered is more likely to not have the same bite, thats what i meant. If NPP wants to alter the documents like C is claiming, how likely is it that they will replace every three letter word with a three letter word? Addison is not quite wrong, as it takes extra steps to change a pdf document, thats why it is the industry standard for very important docs that shouldnt be changed, especially when is has a password, write protected, and encrypted.

Addison claims PDF cannot be altered but that is never true. If you have the software which one can easily download online for free,it is very easy to edit. So if even the file or document was a pdf, it is still possible to make changes especially when NPP is aware they are losing the battle gradually.

Besides Dr. Afari Gyan in his position is probably not going to be the one typing documents or converting them. All he does is make decisions and attend board meetings. I have done many presentations in America where senior company executives ask questions on simple MS office applications and I think in my head how do they hold such positions... But the truth is their job is to give me orders and mine is to find the best way to execute those orders. Stop sounding ignorant!!!

Afari Dwan is a CROOK. PDF cannot be edited......they usually only allow you to fill in the blanks but not change them, like when you fill out a Form online.
