For any of their suggestions to be considered by the SC, the petitioners needed to demonstrate good faith. That is by presenting the total picture of the elections for the whole country,and not a part of it. What they have done has left a big doubt about their sincerity in the minds of the SC. It amounts to mischief making. The petitioners and not the responsdents had the duty also to show that none of the irregularities complained about did not happen in the areas they left out, which they conveniently refused to do. Afari also said before any votes could be annulled the presiding officers needed to refer to the EC for directions. The issue wuld have to be investigated before the annulment for obvious reasons, for example some disgruntled voters deliberately introducing extra strange ballots to spoil the ballots in the strong holds of their opponents. That is why further investigations would have to be done before annulment even if Afari Gyan said so at a press conference. That was a warning he gave, as tohow that was to be done, it was the EC head office's responsbilty and not that of the presiding officer. If the law says whoever kills shall suffer death, it lays out the process of exacting the punishment and whose responsibilty it is.

By now, it is clear Addison himself is aware of the outcome of their petition. He has failed to establish any systematic rigging of the election in favour of President Mahama. There was no way what was mainly clerical errors by polling officers benefited any candidate.
Dr Afari Djan has established that: 1. Except for FO’s, all voters went through biometric verification; 2. Only about 3% of the 26,000 pink sheets were unsigned by the polling officers but the parties’ polling agents signed these pink sheets; 3. There was no voting overseas; 4. Serial numbers of pink sheets have no effect on identifying a polling station.
It is simply foolhardy and laughable to suggest that out of the nearly 11 million valid votes, over 50% of these should be annulled for Akufo Addo to become President. This is unprecedented in the history of democracy.
Looking at the case as an observer, only one verdict is possible for the SC to give: petition dismissed for lack of merit. Only someone who does not hold Ghana’s interest at heart will rule something else and this will mark doom for Ghana.
Any other ruling will seriously indict the EC. The EC would have no basis to supervise any future elections. It was not Dr Afari Djan alone who conducted the election but the entire Electoral Commission hence anything that dismisses the good works that the EC has done will be dangerous for Ghana’s democracy.
The constitution makes it clear that, the Electoral Commission is an independent institution responsible for the conduct of national election and they have done it creditably. Anybody who interferes with the work of the EC is simply playing with fire just as it is to interfere with the work of the Judiciary or the Legislature. Any such interference in the work of the EC by the SC will mean that, in any future election whoever loses will be encouraged to raise a petition. Nobody will accept unfavourable election results from the EC. Ghana's democracy will relapse into a nightmare and this may eventually force the military to come back to restore sanity in politics – this will send Ghana back decades. This must never happen; petition dismissed.

John Dramani Mahamah should step down if in case of any re-election in order not to manipulate or have any opportunity to influence the electoral commissioner.

I am therefore appealing to the Supreme Court of Justice to make sure Mahamah steps down before conducting any other election.

Also, in future if one person is leading the other of just a single vote the person has won it. This will help to save the country's resources and finances.

Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Djan and his accompliance Mahama must be in Jail for deceiving the entire nation.
