He said: "we have no right to call ourselves civilized people.”. In his view, Ken Kuranchie, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Searchlight, explained his 10-day prison experience after being declared contemptuous of court following a publication in his newspaper, said: "Ghanaians have no right to call themselves “civilized people.”

Any good student or practitioner of "Management and Leadership", like I've done, can easily cut through the damn bull—you know what and come to the same conclusion as Sekou. Leadership is NOT the same as management therefore, the characteristics of a true leader are different from a manager. But not to repeat, Sekou is dead right on drive, vision, charisma, persistence, intellect, persuasive abilities, etc., in a leader. While a manager simply manages what set up goals there are, modalities, CRISIS, rules and regulations laid out, etc. A manger doesn’t have to have a vision, but rather managerial abilities to manage resources and crisis.

So, Mahama and some of our former presidents have no VISION at all for Ghana. They come to power to satisfy their EGOS and enjoy presidential freebies. Dr. Nkrumah had a vision for Ghana and Africa, he struggled hard enough to achieve many of the things he wanted Ghana to have, but right now Mahama is dealing with:

Wayome Gate, Election petition, the Fante confederacy in NDC, Martin Amidu, GYEEDA (Konfemgate), rude NDC youth, Pepeni/Pepefuo brigade, ministerial incompetence, budget deficits, bad roads, bad hospitals, bad schools, DUMSO DUMSO (electricity), high prices of petrol (gas), declining Cedi value, huge national debt, PREJUDICE from non-northerners, etc., etc., few of which he created but just managing abysmally and that's not LEADERSHIP. Dr. Nkrumah was far superior in leadership than any other president after him.

Can he come out with ideas as to how CARS, COMPUTERS, MOTOBIKES, WATCHES, TELEPHONES, and yes, NEEDLES, and PAPER CLIPS are munifutured? What about converting our cocoa and our minerals into "secondary products" instead of selling them as RAW materials to Mr. BOBO (the White man)??

So, if you didn't know, the actual definition of “Third World or Banana Republic” is: A country whose foreign exchange exports are RAW MATERIALS.

Sometimes crises are oppotunities for you to prove your worth. Look at all the crises mentioned by Omanhene (USA) how can anybody sabotage you from acting. As a leader you give instructions to MDA's not to over spend their budgets and yet we have huge budget overrun, all you hear is opposition making noise and nothing will happen. Rawlings came in when the nation was totally broke and in an absolute mess and he brought her to her feet again. Kwame Nkrumah, on the other hand, inherited money and a nation that was alive and well.

What type of leader will bring fear upon it's own citizenry? Nkrumah did. Yes, he achieved a lot for Ghana, however he made the lives of many Ghanaians miserable and hell. No one leader is flawless, but when you Sekou start throwing or pointing fingers at someone, you need not go too far, because you certainly do have three or four of your own fingers pointing right smack and back at you. Enough is enough. Nkrumah is dead, Busia is dead, Attah Mills is dead, Akyeampong is dead. So is Kotoka, Ankrah and Linman. So all of our leaders and us as human beings will one day cross that river, so be careful as to how you criticize others just because, you have not been included in any affairs of this country. If Nkrumah really had what his son is saying today he would have taken wise steps to ward off the coup that took him out of power and even made things much better that they were because Nkrumah's time also saw Ghana in great difficulty. I will advise Sekou to tone down his negative criticism of the current president. We need to encourage our leaders and tell them the truth. They thrived on the 'charisma' of Mr Rawlings who himself led Ghana visionlessly for 20 years, taking us nowhere. A party that believes that free Education is a taboo. Who would give out laptops to win elections with no programme to facilitate their productive usage. The NDC is comical. Sekou Nkrumah may be a loose canon but he speaks the truth but also falls shy of what Ghana deserves. Nkrumah's legacy is at risk as there is no recognised successor in the party. The Busia Danquah tradition have fared better in keeping the legacy and Kufour is arguably Ghana's finest after Kwam Nkrumah. Following him governance has become a joke and Ghana is sadly a polarised country. No-one can see the promised land. John Mahama sadly is the worst of them.
