If President Mahama needed a report from a group of hacks to tell him there is something rotten about GYEEDA formerly NYEP then he has had his head in the Labadi beach sand just a tad too long.
There is nothing moral and open about contracts at GYEEDA formerly NYEP because the administrators and employees at GYEEDA/NYEP play by a set of rules that only morally bankrupt civil servants can play. The problem at GYEEDA/NYEP has always been about a struggle between holdovers of the Kufour NPP regime and new NDC entrants/hires. The collision has enabled these politically controlled miscreants to engage in expenditures and activities that are not open to public and or eliminates competitive bidding process that is mandated by government agencies in any civilized and cultured nation. It has enabled GYEEDA/NYEP officials to buy items from their preferred Ghanaians associates residing in the Diaspora with price comparison shopping and or current trends in model, brand or make in the items they purchase.
There is nothing civil about the practices at GYEEDA/NYEP; they act just like the barbarians at the money gates in Ghana. If anyone in government can name one person at GYEEDA/NYEP with integrity and or beyond reproach Ghana would not have needed a report to provide a status of GYEEDA/NYEP operations.
