Chronicling the events that unfolded during his incarceration, Ken Kuranchie has expressed doubt about the civilization of the country. He said: "we have no right to call ourselves civilized people.”. In his view, Ken Kuranchie, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Searchlight, explained his 10-day prison experience after being declared contemptuous of court following a publication in his newspaper, said: "Ghanaians have no right to call themselves “civilized people.”

What did you expect from the people with mentalities of:
a: "METIMEHU AND ALL DIE BE DIE?"
b: "SAKAWA AND SIKADURO?"
c: "XENOPHOBIC AND ETHNOCENTRISM?" etc.
d: "BURYING INNOCENT HUMAN BEINGS WITH THEIR DEAD CHIEFS" at this day and age.
e: "TWO FACE PEOPLE"...(they smile with you, at same time stabbed you at the back, especially if you are a Nigerian). Who need an enemy if you have a "typical Ghanaian" as a friend?
f: They spent most of their LAZY times ONLINE spewing all sort of 'NEGATIVITIES' against Nigerians, (AFTER STEALING THEIR MONEY AND PROPERTIES WITH THEIR "EVIL BUSIA ACO" AND VIOLENTLY DEPORTED THEM BACK TO NIGERIA). What is their PROBLEMS?

Dr Afari-Gyan said it was very difficult to alter the document, he did not say it was impossible. He must have based this on the fact that the document was encrypted pdf. Remember that he is not an IT expert - he just passes on the information he has been given by his staff.

He was right to question the authenticity of the 'extract' from the plaintiff's copy of the electoral register. It is quite clear that counsel for the plaintiffs have been doctoring documents to suit their case. They have been found out time after time.

The audit trail is the fact that the version that Addison sought to portray and portrayed in court is different from the original one from the Electoral Commission, unless of course you do not know what an audit trail means.

Now back to the Pink Sheets and the PDF files, Addison was right PDF or Portable Document Format is a file that will display the same information on any computer that can open it unless a separate pdf is generated and so both Dr. Afari-Gyan and Tsatsu were wrong pdf files must display the same information it can not be altered period.

If you have an in-depth knowlege of PDF's then you will know how ignorant you sound. Even an MS Word document can be protected to the hilt. Tsatsu is right, with softwares on the market you can convert Pdf files and edit them and reformat as Pdf files. That is why at times it may be dangerous to give out soft copies even in Pdf format.

PDF files can be converted to a DOC, ODG, RTF or other file format before editing them. After the file is edited, it can be saved as an updated PDF file, you can use Oracle PDF Import Extension for OpenOffice Draw and PDFill ...

That way, any document which became a source of contention could have been verified easily. Then wheyher pdf files are alterable or not could have been irrelevant.
PDF(portable Document Format) files are ordinary files created from scratch so they can be changed. But as with all modern file formats, the date of modification can easily be verified, too. So if the court had had the original copies of the documents, they could always have cross-checked everything. It was Atuguba's failure to do the right thing from the beginning that has been responsible for the mess of KPMG’s involvement in the case. It would not have mattered whether or not Addison knew the capabilities of the pdf technology.

Please, please, please do not argue on topics that you are not an expert on in public. For starters with present technology you can do virtually anything with documents on the computer. Now if you have, let's say 2010 Ms-word Pro you can convert (aha, that is the appropriate word), convert word doc to pdf and with a small fee and email registration Adobe reader will convert your pdf to word without OCR(Optical Character Recognition) doc where you can make changes as you want. Well? Then I ask you if doc provided by EC is a paper copy of electronic version called media. If paper copy, all you need is a simple scanner and you can turn that doc into whatever you want. Now if we are talking media (CD, DVD, flash drive etc.), Then we are talking Meta data that is the report generated when any media doc is created. As far as we know the courts say no to cd or so call ROM (read only memory) encrypted or not. Any smart crook knows that you can "save as" that is to create a copy of the original doc which can then be manipulated and be presented as the original doc.

Now here is the game which is going to be played. If you challenge the origination of any electronic media (pdf) in court you will have to prove that it is truly or/not truly the original doc provided. There the court will have to investigate the Meta data that we spoke about earlier. So now we will need the services of a forensic computer expert to give an expert opinion on the doc in question. Now you see where this is going, right? Remember KPMG? Accusation and more accusation from counsel, objections and protest along with media blitz about NDC ....writing letters to stop reports and on and on, you know what I mean? There is no difference between a paper print out of pdf and a document in it native form e.g. word doc, excel etc.

Please if have something to say don't let your facts be seen through party colors’ yes that is right colors not colours. American not Anglo Saxon. This is because what the reality is will be found out unless you are hoping the judges are not learned or smart enough. And you can fool all the people and the time. Good luck to you and your expeditions venture to wrestle the presidency from a sitting president with such ideas. Desperation is the word that comes to mind. Devious may also be fine. Diabolical may be okay. One tree does not make a forest. So is one man. You cannot lord it over everyone unless you are duly elected as the commander in-chief. Then you can give orders and declare Victor Owusu day and make it a Ghanaian holiday. No one will stop you. Until then, please just go away quietly with your tribalism. It hurts you more that it hurts me when you call my people names. For me, it is my emotions that is hurt, but for you, it is votes for 2016 and beyond and that is hurting. Come on guys, PDF can be edited easily without converting it to other forms depending on the pdf source and content.
I have done it several times using Adobe Acrobat, Nitro pro 8, Foxit, just to name a few.
