Chronicling the events that unfolded during his incarceration, Ken Kuranchie has expressed doubt about the civilization of the country. He said: "we have no right to call ourselves civilized people.”. In his view, Ken Kuranchie, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Searchlight, explained his 10-day prison experience after being declared contemptuous of court following a publication in his newspaper, said: "Ghanaians have no right to call themselves “civilized people” end of quote.

We live in extraordinary times when people have chosen to blind their eyes to the word of truth. Many people today don't understand spiritual things, so when God wants to use a man of God to alert us of a particular calamity or trouble we turn around and speak carelessly against him. I believe the Spirit of God manifested one of the gifts of the Spirit called, a word of wisdom, through Dr. Otabil to reveal a calamity or trouble that could happen in the future. God's Spirit dealt with Dr. Otabil to awaken the Church, not all Ghanaians, but the Church to pray. The wise thing that Dr. Otabil did was to lead his congregation to pray for God to show mercy on Ghana. I believe God heard their prayer. Why should some Ghanaians be angry with Dr. Otabil? Did he pronounce a curse upon Ghana? Did he insult anybody in Ghana? Every thing he did was very spiritual, and it required a spiritual person to fathom the manifestation of the Spirit in operation at that time. Can all Ghanaians discern spiritual things? No, absolutely no! So leave Dr Otabil alone!! In Acts 11:27-28, one prophet named Agabus predicted by the Spirit that there would be great dearth (famine) throughout all the world. Imagine everybody in the world insisted that Prophet Agabus was instilling fear into them,see how many people would rise up and speak against the prophet. Let's leave Dr. Otabil alone. He has not committed any transgression against God. Even if his prophecy did not come to pass, we know that he is not perfect and that we know in part. Since Dr. Otabil wisely prayed with his congregation for God to stop the calamity or trouble envisioned in the spirit, it is better for all Christians to thank God for Dr. Otabil's actions. Dr. Otabil, don't be shaken by the voices of the cowardice, but be strengthened by the voices of fearless christians around you. God is with you, and your love for your country is the reason for your persecution - but it's okay, for your reward is great in the sight of God. By the way can we think like the beloved son of God even Jesus Christ.And teach what he taught, say what he said and do what he did. He sacrifice and even wash the feet of his deciples. He never caused any panic and fear among his people, he loved them all, taught them great principles for us to govern ourselves and never took money from any of them in order to hear the word of God. He freely gave and was no respecter of persons. But today pastors are the most richest in Ghana and their followers are poorest, can't even afford 3 square meals yet these pastors think that it is only politicians who are supposed to creat employment, Heavennly Father should have mercy upon us. Today some of our pastors are politically multivated only to causd fear and panic instead of thinking about helping build zion among their people. I don't blame them because once anybody goes to a Bible sch, feels our Heavenly Father has called him or her to preach and make money from church members, i feel that corruption do not start from politicians but rather from our churches. God will start his judgement from his own.Ghana will not die, Ghana belongs to us all, it doesn't belong to any set of people, be it tribes or certaiin group of people whatever, we all need to put our sholders to the wheel and push along, for Ghana is the only place we have.
