Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. My poor friends turned into millonians overnight. My NDC friends are doing the same. he only reason the opposition party is because it is somebody else -NDC chopping. We should get rid of all these parties, and revise the pay for these people. The media should expose the bribe takers and the 10 percent takers. In fact politicians in Ghana make money more than the Dr and the nurse, the teachers and solders. The pay and the benefits are just too much.

Quite rightly, and I reiterate the views of Mr Gyambi that 'There is no HONEST politician in Ghana. All what politics is about in Ghana is money making, period. Your wife will tell you to push for politics to make money. NPP did the same thing. My poor friends turned into millionaires overnight.’ Now as I said somewhere in my own contribution, the modus operendi of politicians and pastors in Ghana is one and the same-to make money and they are mostly corrupt and dishonest people. If you want to practice proper democracy in Ghana, learn to find a way of helping Ghanaians abroad to play a part. Do not do everything possible to exclude them. Cut that greed and arm twisting dirty 'politicking' and get your brothers and sisters who are living abroad to share their experience of democracy in Ghana. They see real democracy being practiced the way it should be on a daily basis and would probably appreciate how important it is to respect and understand people, to be resilient and prudent and above all to transact business with other politicians worldwide. This is not just about education and academic achievements and I do not purport to say that people at home are not as good. No, the point I am trying to make is that we need a mix of the two to stop this kind of decadence. This is because many educated Ghanaians could contribute/add other skills which are currently deficient in Ghanaian politics. Also, access to political office could be far more competitive meaning that people will take it more like a vocation than just an avenue to make easy money.

Politicians like Dr Kumbuor should know that there are indeed politicians who are thieves, crooks, corrupt and lack credibility. he should rather focus on helping to keep his fellow MPs and politicians in check and to establish a system of parliamentary scrutiny to ensure that politicians don't STEAL from the state for their own personal joys.

By the way, it is true that a politician fitting Dr Kumbuor's own description has 'bought a house and a car for his girlfriend' who happens to be carrying his love-child? If this is true, then perhaps he would care to tell us where he got all that money to undertake such a project. Whilst I do not doubt his ability to 'save' and use his money in whatever way he see fit, and I am in no way accusing him of "stealing", Dr Kumbuor ought to be very careful in his utterances regarding politicians and stealing.

For me, irrespective of whether you are from NPP or NDC, I take serious issue with politicians who think that just because they are politicians, they should become rich or amass wealth at the expense of the people.

Integrity, honesty and service should be the core principles upon which public service is conducted, irrespective of person. Why are our politicians clamouring for position (in the ruling party) and office (in the case of the opposition)? Is it not because they think it gives them the leverage and opportunity to 'better themselves'?

Don't tell me that you are not aware that people are "stealing" because they are politicians. Rather, spend time to clean up the image of your glass house whilst you are there and have the opportunity to do so. People are good at talking about corruption, but not good at recognising it when it stares them right in the face. I hope Dr Kumbuor gets that. The same goes for other government ministers, functionaries and politicians as a whole.

I will join the crusade to expose them and to let Ghanaians know and remember when they go to the polls. Being a custodian is an important responsibility not to be messed with, whoever you are and whichever party you belong to.

There is no exception. All politicians are nothing but thieves. Why is Kunbour pissed? The perception that all politicians are thieves, will be erased if and only if, our politicians allowed the rule of law to reign and above all they should uphold TRUTH. Anything short of that is unacceptable.

Nobody begged anyone or anybody to go into politics so, the idea that the people should suffer under your nefarious activities, is uncalled for.

Because of your thievery and recklessness, the average Ghanaian feels hoodwinked.

We all Know that Government IS the People,BYE the People and FOR the People. The government has the DUTY to CONDUCT its dealings to the BENEFIT of the WHOLE POPULACE. This man thinks that Ghanaians are fools. The perception of public officials and politicians presenting themselves as gentle, well mannered and learned is really very irrelevant when it comes to matters of integrity, trust and financial propriety. A thief is a thief and should be seen as such no matter how they beguile their acts; and so far as I am concerned, no respect should be given to any Ghanaian thief whether such a person is an actual thief or a politician. For instance, we need to know very quickly and in very simple and straight forward terms what is what in Akuffo-Addo Vs. Kpegah case and we do not expect any duplication, double standards and arm twisting from the courts, bar association or any legal organisation in Ghana. We expect the truth, simple truth and nothing but the truth. We Ghanaians are not as stupid as politicians take us for at all. We understand that the simpler this matter is handled, the truer it will be. No complications; for, we need to know who politicians really are and then move on.

Just as I am completely disheartened by the deception of many Ghanaian pastors, I do hate people who pretend to be something they are not. We are not talking about politicians being paid big money or allowances, we are actually taking about people who indecently steal monies, divert resources that are meant for the poor and fictitiously take and embezzle funds meant for widows, orphans and the hard working but poor souls whose lives are riddled by need and relegated into abject poverty. Please, do not say politicians are this when in actual fact they are the other. You see, some poor people are languishing in hot, dirty and unhygienic prisons everywhere in Ghana under the laws, rules, regulations and ‘precepts’ of politicians. They would have only committed petty crimes yet politicians and pastors who are supposed to uphold the virtues of society are in fact the most indecent and abhorably corrupt ones. They are riding in big cars, living in big homes and eating the most sumptuous and healthy meals. Is it survival of the fittest or a matter of who the cup fits? Do not preach us about politicians or seek solace from pastors; for if your grandpa no sabi, how could your papa know.

So, do you respect Ghanaian pastors, Mr Krumbour? I ask because there is no difference in the ‘modus oprendi.’ If you do, then you really need to talk to people in your constituents for their views. And, on a serious note, unless ordinary Ghanaians like doctors, teacher, civil servants, women groups, youth groups, student groups, patients and care associations take on governments squarely and actively we are constantly going to be short changed by these greedy, dishonest, fraudulent and unscrupulous politicians. What do you think, Mr Krunbour? You may be different but of course many Ghanaian politicians are nothing but thieves. Their ideas are blunt and they are largely non-committal to the development and well being of the people of Ghana. I see them as a very negative and destructive bunch of public officials and so far as I am concerned, the only honest politicians I have known are Kwame Nkrumah and JJ Rawlings.

The people you are ruling will continue to call you thieves if you do not stop stealing the nation's properties through your smart greediness. Yes, some of you believe you are not political thieves, but with the positions that you hold in government or in opposition, and your failure to protect the nation's wealth means your part of the negative doings of stealing.

People believe your direct and indirect support for the wrong ones among you, surely gives the general perception that can never be changed by mere coming together. What you the politicians practically ought to do to change that perception of negativity about you is to change your selfish, greedy character. For example, let's consider few instances that prove your negative stealing minds;- Under Kufour, some smart stealing policies were introduced, which were used to dupe our nation's wealth.

The re-zoning policy of government lands, which caused most lands besides the Tema motorway to be in the hands of Kufour's men while he hides behind. Typical example is the Accra international students hostel in the vicinity of the Kotoka Airport. That very particular land is for NPP MP for Adansi Asokwa constituency and others while Kufour in secrect is the brain behind to steal that land, that is why they approved the re-zoning policy. If you doubt check from the lands department who owns that, and no wonder the owner is K T Hammond of the NPP.

Think also of the Waterville and Wayome case, which involved the two political parties, NPP and NDC that opened the door for the so called financial lost to the state. [judgement debt].. Is it not shame, but today these two parties are foolishly trying to score political points with Wayome/Waterville case?

If some of the politicians believe Atta Mills is honest and decent leader then there is a need that the rest of you ought to be clean and be like him, for good things are always good things. When politicians change the stealing style, the eyes of the people will see it and acknowledge the change and atonce that perception will change; people will begin to cheerish you all with love of God. Finally the change of your character is the question now.

I pray God to help the politicians to know their genuine responsilities. They have to understand that Ghana belongs to God, and therefore their failure will make them be held responsible by the Heavens. Politicians wake up to please God so that sickness and death will not be your end. What will a man gain if he grabs all the nation' wealth and lose his soul?

By ending the huge payment of salaries and allowances to yourselves so much so that you become rich overnight whiles many hard working Ghanaians struggle with meagre salary which they even have to fight for. When the average Ghanaian stop paying more for fuel than their counterparts in advance countries eventhough Ghanaians earn far less comparatively, whiles you the politician gets almost everthing for free and sees nothing wrong with that morally, then 'the thief' tag will be removed. How do you solve the country's economic problems when you have cousioned yourselves so much with huge salaries and allowance and hardly pay for anything from fuel to rent from your pocket. Of course you will call Ghanaians ingrates when they complain that things are tough because to you life is wonderful since you assumed your position. You will only join the masses to sing the same chorus when you no longer enjoy the booty and want them to get you there. What else do you expect the average Ghanaian to call you other than THIEF.

Methinks thou thus protest too much, to paraphrase a very august personality of old! The fact is politicians in the third world are notoriously corrupt. Politicians in the more advanced countries are also not so much better, but at least they take care of their countries before "chopping" the money. People are not completely stupid. When something smells bad, sooner or later people begin to pay attention that something is rotten. The Woyome scandal in Accra is a case in point. Broke people go into government and suddenly become rich. Something is rotten in Denmark, and there is no amount of protest that will take the stench away.

Instead of advising his cohort, political thieves to be circumspect and push parliament to enforce Accountability and Code of conduct for MP behaviour he is rather blaming the general public that he and his cohorts are abusing and cheating.
Kumbour should know that if all the current bunch of useless MPs all decide to resign today Ghana can have better and well qualified MPs who can perform better than he and his cohorts currently messing up the country. Does Ghana need the calibre of MPs like ET Mensah, Okudzeto Ablakwa, and many more? They are doing a disservice to Ghana rather than the other way round as they are not achieving anything rather to enrich themselves at the expense of the nation.

When politicians vote themselves pay raises while they ignore the demands of professionals who actually make the nation function their due wages, that is an indication of a thief.

When dubious judgements are paid by politicians to contractors for contracts not performed, that is thievery.

When people who were practically homeless overnight start to put up mansions and be driving expensive foreign made automobiles soon after they enter parliament and cannot proof the source of the funds they are spending, that is obvious thievery.

When politicians sell to themselves government property at fire sale prices, that is thievery.

When government leaders look on unconcerned when foreigners take over the mining of the nations mineral resources with licenses issued by these same officials, destroying the nations water sources in the process, that is thievery.

We can go on and on, but I guess Kumbour still doesn't see the reasons why the people are calling politicians thieves.

Dr. Kumbour, it is our believe that every current politician in Ghana is a thief, or an accomplice in some kind of thievery of government funds.

So please take heart and relax if you know you are not a dishonest politician. The story in Ghana now is, we have a bunch of thieves masquerading as politicians who are operating right from the seat of gov't, ala the castle or jubilee house, with the chief armed robber John Mahama coordinating the thieving activity on the national kitty. So Dr. Kunbour if you want Ghanaians to stop calling the likes of you all as thieves, armed robbers, stealers, criminals, then you need to start acting right, because for now, the description of your kind of politicians as thieves, armed robbers and criminals is spot on.

Most African politicians are thiefs . the evidence is simple. most african politicians acquire most of their wealth which is far in excess of their total savings from birth plus whatever official incomes they earn in politics during the era when in government. they then ensure that no system in existence can detect or unravel their wealth. in ghana am told some even go to the extent now of overstating their wealth on asset declaration forms in anticipation of future theft. under a military coup situation they are always caught pants down. Just like drug barons after the theft some still want to be called honourable hence the comments driving this article.

By their actions we shall know them! Our politicians most often don't love their country more than how much wealth they can accumulate while in office. The corruption, wealth accumulated, etc., are visible things, the people see and make them call politicians such names. Most of them have not made anything to their names. One can go down the list from the current president to the lowest/recent MP and you would get what I'm talking about. It is up to the MPs themselves to change the perception else, people will continue to see them as such.

I have managed to set you all up. For your information I am not a politician. I only gave my opinion just like you lot. Even in the so called advanced countries there are dishonest politicians. So generally most politicians are corrupt but there are one or two who could be genuine or honest. Dr Kunbour's comment is neither here nor there as we will continue to expose all corrupt politicians regardless of what he says. If you know you are corrupt, stop it otherwise you will always be in the public domain. Because it is our duty to keep you guys in check to safe the national coffers.
