Prof Mills served as Commissioner of Income Tax, applying his knowledge in that area.

He became Vice-President and then President of our country.

He played hockey for Ghana and then served on the Ghana Hockey Association executive. He was also Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak and part of the management of the Black Stars.

He served with distinction in all these posts - just ask those with whom he served. He served with honesty,humility and humuor.

Prof Mills did his best for his country.

The problem with most Ghanaians is that they are quick to accuse others of stealing and corruption when they have not lost anything. To accuse a person of what you do not have is like pretending that you have your horns removed, however we are all aware that human beings do not grow horns.
Some are also quick to state that some tribes they do not like have stolen their horns, but here again what you do not have including honesty and self respect, then how can another person steal what you do not have. When you accuse another of being a thief and corrupt make sure that you have not lost what you are supposed to have: human dignity and self respect, which as it is seen you have sold to another person because of the colour of his skin. He takes it and give you an invincible horn which you try to protect as the saints protect their hallow.
Poor pretenders trying to build a pillar of tears which is hollow.

Mills, following JJ, pushed him to his untimely death. Mills was a failed educated elite. He bragged of being a "tax professor" and what are some of his tax policies he implemented in Ghana? Mills should not have followed JJ no matter what the odds are against him. JJ humiliated, pushed, shoved, heckled, trashed and above, disgraced him to his death.

How do a professor followed a secondary student who usurped power with the gun? It does not make any sense. Mills demeaned himself just because of his stomach and what was the end result?

President Mills gave singular and dedicated service to our country as a scholar, educator, senior civil servant, Vice-president and President. He also served in various capacities as a sports administrator including hockey and football with Accra Hearts of Oak.

He served with honesty,humility and humour, often in the face of extreme provocation by detractors.

President Mills did his best for his country, and left it a better place for that. His life is worth emulating.
