He said: "we have no right to call ourselves civilized people.”. In his view, Ken Kuranchie, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Searchlight, explained his 10-day prison experience after being declared contemptuous of court following a publication in his newspaper, said: "Ghanaians have no right to call themselves “civilized people” end of quote.

I believe what Pratt is saying should only apply to children and other vulnerable people such as the disabled, the mentally challenged and vegetative individuals. Thank you Braveboy, yours is the most simple and sensible comment ever on this issue. Like it is said in the Bible itself, there is time for everything. Churches in Ghana are thriving today because they are the only form of entertainment for the deprived and the stressed and even the bored wealthy who want to be recognized.
Ghana needs more moral forms of entertainment such as festivals, birthday parties and out-doorings to replace these pastors who are milking people dry. It is hard to tell people to stop going to the only place where they can pay a few coins to entertain their body and spirit as well as listen to some comedians and story tellers.
Although most churches are fake in Ghana, they help keep the stress of most of the downtrodden in the country, and the winners in all this are the organizers of these fake enterprises.

You do not find this in Methodist, Presby, Roman etc. We only find this in self ordained preachers whose advice cause death, disunity among family, fear and domination. It is sad because any sick person is vulnerable and will do anything to survive. They need our protection so a law of that nature will help.
The other problem is that we do not have medicines and specialists in complex illnesses and therefore these pastors serve as alternative to the poor and dying. This is evident in Jesus' time where people had to travel miles and miles to see the healer. I can bet you that these pastors go and see their doctors but tell the congregants not to do so.
The was a pastor in USA who told his followers that the world would end in six months time but upon investigation, it was found out that the pastor had recently taken a mortgage for his house for 25 years.

It may be easier to prove that someone prevented the patient from taking medication than that the person rather advised the patient. Even mercy killing is not always easy to prosecute!
Kwesi Pratt should rather guard his own tongue from the many unnecessary utterances against all sorts of people. I am still struggling to come to terms on why the former president was insulted and even pronoused dead when he was still alive. What at all do some people want on this planet, is it money or power? The question every like-minded Ghanaian should be asking is why is it that over 80% of tertiary graduates every year want to go into politics or work in the public sector? Politicians always claim they are not corrupt but will never explain why the mass exodus of tertiary graduates into politics. Some people are expressing fears that a civil war is apparent but failed to mention why that is emminent. The answer is simple! The reason for a possible civil war is unemployment. I don’t think that if people were gainfully employed and busily working would ever want to leave their jobs and go onto the streets to fight other people. I am not a prophet of doom, but i tell you that a time is coming when the youth will start beating and seizing cars of other people who made it through politics.
