You really need somebody to teach you the rudiments of English grammar. There is nothing to correct. Prosecuted is the right word as the first verb used in your sentence after after you used DID was SEE. The subsequent verb can be past tense and PROSECUTED is the right word not PROSECUTE.

When your Kuonfuor Kufuor visited Buckingham Palace, the presidents of head of states in other countries, I am sure he gave you good stories about the state of their residences. Next time you would tell me that your president should travel in 'trotro' like anybody else. What you'll fail to realise is that your head of state must be accorded with the air that befits his status and authority. Unlike Kruonfour Kufuor, Flag Staff House is not a private residence. John Mahama is not asking for his private house to be refurbished or re-generated. When he leaves office he does not take it with him. All head of states deserve good and relaxing environments. I don't think that you would have the impunity and disrespect to recommend your Asantehene to live in a squalor. The editor of this newspaper sounds very irresponsible to say the least. The question is that is Mahama going to live there forever or is Mahama going to carry stuffs, renovations, services, etc contracted with the "staggering" amount with him when he leaves the palace.

Staggering amount of "GH¢218,565.50 (¢2.18 billion)", converted to old cedi with sound bite (BILLION). This shows the motive behind the reportage.

When you convert this GHc218,565 into dollars what you get may not be enough for parts, services and maintenance of a central air condition system in a normal home in the US, and you are talking about Presidential Palace of our beloved Ghana. Why do we make noise over little things?

Kuffour's government let her off and the case is still to be resolved. How do you vote such a person to become president? Where is the integrity here?

jj rawlings an ex president who has been in power for 19 years neither respects other ex presidents or the current president of the country nor has he got the grace to bow out and give others who may have more skills and ability to get on with the job they have been elected to do.
He tried dictating to other presidents like Kuffour and Kuffour did not let him after a few courtesy calls. Atta Mills may not be the best thing for Ghana since sliced bread but he was elected to serve his term. If he is no good then the voters will once again decide to dump him. This is the democracy we are trying to practice in Africa.
There are leaders and ex leaders in Africa like Gbagbo and Mugabe who refuse to let the democratic process run. Rawlings should go and retire quietly in one of his mansions by the lakeside and let the rest of Ghana proceed to its destiny.
The idea of a dynasty today allowing a family to run countries forever is now history; look at Mubarak, Ghaddafi, and now Assad of Syria.
Nana Konadu has the right to stand for any position in NDC and to run for president. This does not mean she is the best candidate to be Ghana's president. For Rawlings to device schemes with underhand tactics to impose his wife on Ghana will not wash.
The integrity of both Rawlings and his wife are so incredibly questionable for a head of state. There are unresolved questions and issues which still haunt the Rawlingses and only a blind bat cannot see through them if we are honest enough.
The hypocrisy of making a big political deal about murder cases in the north is an example. He has been selective by picking on this issue while not saying anything about killings and murders which he and his wife have been implicated but have covered them up with indemnity clauses in the last constitution. The saying goes that what is good for the goose is good for the gander. There are people whose relatives were killed by rawlings's regime without any criminal cause and today there has been no apology from rawlings for a single mistake that was made by him or his underlings. There lies the hypocrisy!!! For this he will be remembered!!

The president and the presidency in any country is not to be compared to any "village porter" who could make do with just some tattered rugs, mats, and village stools.

As a reminder, every new president of the United States of America refurbishes, remodels, refurnishes, and even rebuilds parts of the Great White House to suit their own tastes and objectives. That is why that legendary presidential palace has gained its prominence and gorgeous appeal around the world.

So what is the big deal if President John Mahama feels the need to upgrade the Flagstaff House to befit the status of a modern country? By the way, don't even ordinary citizens from time to time upgrade their living quarters, when necessary?

The presidential palace is not for just one individual, and whoever gains control of that august residence has the resposnsibility to keep it in a qualitative standard befiting the president of a modern nation, while preserving it for future incumbents. That's exactly what President John Mahama has done. There is practically nothing wrong about that. So just shut your BIG MOUTHS!!!

Let the enemies and detractors of the nation find better fields to picth their frevolous battles for cheap popularity. Better still, why not think of more positive ways to help develop the country?
