WHEN THE HISTORY IS TOLD, IT WILL BE SAID THAT GHANAIANS WERE OFFERED FREE SECONDARY EDUCATION, IMPROVED UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE, SOCIAL HOUSING FOR THE POOR AND AN EGALITARIAN SOCIETY BUT 50% SAID NO THANK YOU. I have a personal experience from the bank i use to work when this NYEP began.Co-ordinators strike deals like taking monies for those who are no more in the programme(either gone to school or moved into another job) every month and some bank staff were also helping. I was in one of the rural banks in the eastern region and i remember i stopped the payment of such monies one day and my boss came to order me to pay that money to the co-ordinator who happened to have endorsed all the vouchers which were suppose to have been endorsed by the rightful beneficiaries. Government should go back to the beginning of the programme and collect every peswa anyone took for himself
