Juxtapose the President's statements with that of Anita de Souza and Former President Rawlings, and you cannot but come to the conclusion that the former President did not die a natural death:

The national planning commitee of one year anniversary of the death of the late president should incorporate the programme organized by the family of the late presidents at otuam in the central region to ussher in the anniverssary as a state responsibility to make the occasion part and parcel of the anniverssary.It is disheartening to hear that so far, government has been able to give only GH200 to the family as its contribution towards the anniverssary in the presidents home town.If I may ask the reason why the huge programme drawned by the national commitee in Accra does not includes the programme schedulled to take place in his home town,at Otuam in the central region.

The state did what was needed at the time it was necessary. One year anniversary is optional extra, so if the family decided to do it the taxpayer must not be burdened with extra debt.

I think the real fear is that the report ONLY uncovers a fraction of the rot and that the bigger rot may not be mentioned at all. The recommendation for punishment is going to individuals whose offences can be considered insignificant if the REAL truth would ever come out.
