Rapid population growth in Ghana will surely be a menace or curve because the nation would not and is not being managed by astute person who can harness the potential therein in huge population growth and size. With a population of 24 million, people were place livelihood empowerment program(LEP) under Kufour regime. Currently, the GYEEDA program and its attendant corruption issues raising its hydra head is indicative that Ghana would be a failed economy.

I trust you will not be swayed into the partisan politics on this platform but fairly address issues affecting our country although you are out there in Zambia. Truthfully, one thing I do not 'Like' about you is that you seem to live in the shadow or so much concerned about your fiercest critic, kwesi mintah. Forgive me if I have been childishly candid. Your responses to his comments despite your orignality and faithfulness to your style, makes me a bit 'annoyed' with you. I am pretty sure he will even chastise you for being 'overly' personal with his passing comments. In one of your recent articles, you gave him some questions to answer for you. Some of his answers were elusive while others scanty. For once, I thought he was a friendly or family 'ghost' who has been assigned to terrorise you. Well, I must admit some of his critisms are good. The crux of this comment is to point out that, you have a young man who likes your literary prowess not forgetting your long poems. In due course, I will reveal my identity to you since I am also a regular contributor on this platform. One task I would want you to write on has to do with whether our developmental challenges as Africans and for that matter Ghanaians are attitudinal, something spiritual, heriditory, intellectual bankruptcy or something else. Lately, we the original coastal-bred gurus are deciding to retreat ourselves back into the fresh & natural rural areas for our approaching retiring days instead of mingling among the messy & sticky concrete-jungles such as Accra & the rest.

This article is loaded with so much misinformation I got tired shaking a stick a stick at each lie.

Cousin, economics as a subject is not an isolated phenomenon like say science. In science, (earthly science that is) the phenomenon of gravity is independent of any other factors. It is thus a measurable constant that applies universally till one recedes into space where it's value diminishes considerably.

Unlike Science, Economics as a subject is not an isolated phenomenon. It combines factors of human, government and even natural disasters and weave them into a comprehensible subject of study.

Thus the human proclivity to gain advantage and seek more in matters of commerce, trade and personal relations have engendered lots of empirical studies and its associated theories.

I've taken time to dissect the essence of what economics is all about to enable observe that it's never an isolated phenomenon.

As an educated scholar, you mistreat and misrepresent the subject of economics as an isolated phenomenon that can be used in gauging the social and economic advantage of nations.

This is where you're starkly exposed as going off a cliff while chanting Gompertz Curve and Euler's constant.

Now let's get to the real criticism of your poorly written article which is woefully short on facts but as usual, loaded with personal anecdotes.

***I am surprised you failed to mention "Nigeria" in this article about population. I'm going to use Nigeria to discredit your article to fasten your seat belt.

Lie #1:

When you have a large population of afflicted by poverty, ignorance, disease and lack the basic sustenance of modern life, like good roads and potable water, its GDP is not guaranteed to grow. Nigeria makes nonsense of your assertion.

More people in Switzerland pay taxes than the entire population of Nigeria. And do you know why? I gave you a clue not to quote economic theorems and graphical curves as isolated phenomena. They're all dependent on certain pre-requisites you fail to mention or are ignorant of.

Lie #2

None of the above factors are true. It is purely cultural. You failed to mention why the Latin countries such as Mexico have exploding population. You failed to mention why the poorest of the poor nations of the earth and mostly African countries such as Nigeria, Congo and Ghana have such spiraling and explosive populations, which none of your supposed contributing factors play a role.

Lie #3

You talk by-heart. Just because a nation has a large population does not mean it'll have abundant supply of skilled labor. Need I explain such a fallacious assertion of yours and debunk it like the color of Winneba sea being blue? haba cousin.

This is where pre-requisites come in. You quote economic theories and its associated graphics as the raison d'etre for certain occurences. You're so wrong. For God's sake stop analyzing graphical curves and its underlying mathematical information.

Nobody needs to know anything about Euler's constant, reciprocal series or Gompertz to ascertain the fundamental lies of your article. Try to explain things on your own terms without quoting authors, that is the mark of a truly educated person.

Lie #4

"With the increase in global connectivity through ICT, emigration and immigration have increased tremendously, with their effects cancelling each other out."

This is the most outrageous of all the lies and misinformation in your article. There's absolutely no evidence that the increase in emigration or immigration has anything to do with information technology.

People displaced by war seeking asylum, economic migrants crossing the high seas by dinghy and rickety boats to make it to Australia, Europe, North America etc have nothing whatsoever to do with Information Technology.

You have such uncanny aptitude to make sweeping generalities to gild your poorly written articles and I will not let you get away with it. I hold you to high standards and you fall short each time.

Need I spend time to dismantle you article and its numerous lies and inaccuracies therein? No. I'll end here with the following advice:

Stop seeing economics as an isolated phenomenon. It has a lot a factors involved and please try to explain and tackle those fundamental factors in your articles before jumping into conclusions.

Examine the basic structures the generates and build wealth and by their absence generates poverty and why certain nations are capable of installing those fundamentals on a large scale. Examine the factors that prevents those poor countries of large population from ever ascending on the economic ladder.

Stop quoting economic graphics and curves etc. They're meaningless in the context your present your articles. This is not a parochial economic seminar with economic degreed audience.

Make your articles shorter, one page maximum with facts. Make your articles shorter, one page maximum with facts. I can say that a million times.

Please do not include all those irrelevant personal anecdotes and your travels in your articles. They do not confirm any facts you present.

This article is really a misnomer. It has nothing to do with populations but rather your family planning experience and a few quotes from your favorite textbook authors.

Please spare us part two of this article. Unless it's a one page article loaded with FACTS do not publish it.

I love you so much as a cousin and want you to improve your game a couple of notches up so heed my advice, cousin. We're all getting tired of your needlessly long articles. Make it short, relevant to the topic and fact laden.
