Hi CTZ, indeed you are right when you say dont be fooled. In fact election is won at the pooling station and in an open counting supervised by the electorate and not on the face of pink sheets. The SC judges are not fools to rule for the the NPP in this line.

The real question is, if this line of argument is upheld then results of election can never be declared, because every elctoral officer owes allegiance to a political party and when he realises that his party has lost heavily he will simply refuse to sign so that those votes are annuled. surely that will lead to more chaos than one can envisage.

So let no one be fooled.

We all can not be president at a time and if you are not ordained to be president and you want to force yourself and be one then the only thing you create is confusion or perhaps war. As it stands right now, the petitioners have no hope than to find a way to find something to blame on. Puls the cost they have incurred in court, where are they going to recoup that now?

EC does not declare results based on only pink sheets.We have the Presiding Officers at the Polling Stations and we also have their superiors,Returning Officers at the Collation Centres who cross check the works of every Presiding Officer.They do correct certain mistakes if detected before sending the final results to the EC Headquarters.I do agree that unsigned pink sheet by presiding officer is not proper but it does not invalid the votes cast at all so far as I am concerned.Irregularity does not mean the votes have to be thrown overboard automatically.If that should be the case,then the Returning Officers could have done that at the Collation Centres long time ago.I believe Dr Afari Gyan pays special attention to the Collation sheets more than the pink sheets.Unfortunately,Npp came to court with only pink sheets,it's a pity to provide only half truth.Thank you.

I suggest that when mufti-party elections results are declared out of 5 parties, if 4 or 3 are satisfy with the outcome of the results then there should be no need for only one party to petition the result because is a waist of the country's little resources which could have been used for the benefit to the entire nation. Look every party had his own representative at the polling station so why should only one party come out and say that there was irregularities in the well confirmed results if this is not personal interest of some individuals. Ghanians I think this law must be pass in parliament, when out of 5 contestants when 3 or 4 agree to the results of a presidential election then it should be accepted by all.

The question is did that have any effect the number VOTES recorded on the Pink sheets for NPP or NDC etc. as acknowleged by the verious Party Polling Agents?

The regulation is that after voting leave the Polling station.

It is the fault of a Voter that a presiding Officer did not sign a Pink Sheet to the extend that it should annul his valid Vote cast? NOOOO!.

So far as the Party Agents have signed and have NOT lodged any complaint about malpratise, the number of VOTES are valid for each Political Party.

NO VOTER VOTE Should be annulled because someone failed to his work by merely not signing the Pink Sheet.

Who then have the power over the votes cast? is it the prisiding Officer or the Voter?
We are taking about VOTES at the end of the day not signature.

If we are not careful next time people (presiding officers) will not sign the Pink Sheets if their Party lose at the Polling Stations they supervise.

May be that was what happened.

i believe if i present a cheque not thumb printed not signed but i present it to the bank and the bank somehow accepts it and gives me the money, that one i am so sure the bank will cancel the transaction and call upon me to return the money.
if i failed to thumb print a ballot paper but i drop it into the ballot box, and it got counted somehow that can be cancelled.
but if i thumb print a ballot paper correctly and the electoral officer failed to sign on their collation sheet cancelling my ballot paper will amount to disenfranchising me and this is what the paragons of democracy are asking the court to do.

considering this Bawumias calculations canot be correct.further my understanding of court procedures is that evidence tendered in court must always be the same as in afidavit.THis NPP evidence is bogus

Well, they [NDC] should do thier due deligence or calculations, concerning the December 2012 election fraud before spewing garbage out there. They should first consider the 241,000 diasporan voters list which EC's boss, Dr. Kwadjo Afari-Gyan said enabled him to declare John "de Aplake President" the winner, and add bring it into the equation as see how the results stands, and then continue adding other aspects like over-voting, pink sheets without signatures as they're claiming here and other bunch of malpractices, commissions, ommissions ect.

Honestly, John Mahama doesn't have the slightest change. We all remember when the NPP first waved the "Red Flags" and demanded detail documents and results, Afari-Gyan refused to comply or co-operate. His own words were: "You can go to court" while NDC's Gen Mosquito also said: "NPP don't have a case; they can go to court" among others. But when the NPP agreed to their suggestion and hinted about obliging to their suggestion, by going to court, Asiedu Nketia followed by saying: "any idiot can go to court" amid laughter and scorn from EC and NDC quarters.

All the evidence is clear and overwhelming. Now we know who truly are the idiots. The NDC went to the court house without invitation. "Tiiifs" and criminals! It's so funny to note that they [NDC]were the first to bulldoze their way into the courthouse followed by their scouts and thugs wielding clubs, cutlasses and sticks. It took the authority of the Supreme Court to disperse these desperate thugs.

Throught their paid-propaganda news prints and houses, they still think that the just-elections petition case is just some kind of joke! Hmmm, we're all waiting for the final verdict.
