Nobody knew of this Vanderpuiye guy until they imported him from the US to come and make our lives miserable - in conformity with the general principles of the NDC govt.

And in that regard, it is not likely that Mahama will show him the exit. When even the useless Ga Chiefs wanted him out, it was Mahama who came to his rescue to keep him on the job. Mahama will not sack him but I think that Vanderpuiye himself, if he has any respect, should quietly bow out himself. You cant do a job when the entire public has lost confidence in you and will therefore not cooperate with you.

At this point I am beginning to realize that unfortunately, Mahama is even weaker than Mills as President. Look at all these little idiotic and uncultured boys and girls he has appointed as Ministers. What is the basis for considering such characters to manage our country? In comparison, look at the high caliber of personnel we had in govt even in the first republic when for the first time in our history, Nkrumah had to appoint Ministers without prior experience or knowledge about governance. With all the choice we have today, look at the rubbish that Mahama has thrown at us. Why wont we run into embarrassing situations like what this errant Mayor of Accra has accomplished?

Madam, if it weren't you, Ghana would not have had a hockey pitch at its present place and your contribution to the Hockey sport can never be underrated by any bearded dictator.

That ignorant bearded dictator of Accra metropolitan area doesn't know that national stadia and other sport facilities aren't the properties of district/metropolitan assemblies, hence his oafishness in deciding to rename Ohene Djan stadium and the Theodosia Okoh Hockey stadium.

Ignorant and corrupt as he is, Oko Vanderpuye has forgotten that the cost of construction or repair works on sport facilities in the country are always borne by the central govt.

After posting an article about how ignorant our journalists are, and how gullible and equally stupid(donkeys) the people of Ghana really have been natured, I went to goggle Theodosia Oko, and come to find out, she DESIGNED? our horrible RED YELLOW GREEN flag with a black star in the middle. Almost every African flag has that red/yellow/green color, as though God created us to be so simple, myopic and not so creative. I hate our flag, it is part of our inability to think and focus. It is too loud, like our nature. Go to Osu Oxford square, and everything there is red, yellow green. Every ugly taxi driver is flying a Ghana Flag, as though we might mistake them for Togolese or Liberians. If these people, including you had any love and respect for this ugly flag, perhaps we will cease from desecrating the flag, by making sure it is used appropriately and sparingly. Come to think about it, this lady in as much as I think her flag could have been designed by a blind person, she deserves more than a Stadia. She should be commemorated with a ROUND ABOUT MONUMENT, holding the national flag.

Trouble with us Ghanaians is that, some of us who happen to be smarter than westerners, and far more creative and futuristic are deemed to be too WHITE - when in fact a few of us are natural born, Ghanaian bred geniuses.

I also dont understand why or how our flag is a cause for our inability to focus as you say. Perhaps you can explain further.

Finally, I know that westerners are richer than us in this part of the world but I did not know that they were or are racially more intelligent or superior. Perhaps those of you who deem yourselves to be as smart as them should write something on Ghanaweb to justify that assertion.

I think Madam Oko needs better recognition than her name on a hockey stadium. The Ghana Flag is too important that the woman's name needs to be put on a very huge monument or place or something that is used on a daily basis.

We like to yap, make noise, scream and after sweating through our mouths, all that we say amounts to nothing. I wish sometimes I was the only black person or Ghanaian God created.

Matter of fact this is the second article I have read on the subject matter, and to think that everybody except you Ketasco and me, I suppose knows who this lady is, yet nobody has yet bothered to elaborate on her accomplishment to deserve this reversal. I swear, we are primitive , ignorant people. Products of our sick sick ancestors. Our languages are all advanced versions of monkey/ape communication skills, and that is what ahs made our journalists useless parts of our culture. The gene lives in the rest of the population. Also been a sports individual during her Achimota school days with interest in hockey, she bought a government land later on and constructed a hockey pitch which was acquired by the Government later on. I think this old lady deserve more than mere naming of a hockey pitch in her honour.

Late Mills was an academician but in politics and administration he performed poorly. The legacy the present generation will live to remember Mills are the irresponsible judgement debts paid under his watch and his blatant communication team who were descenting on his critics with insults. I think Lady Theodosia deserve the nation's highest award.
