Anyway, now that we all know her significance I think the mayor should apologize. In the same breathe, I declare you all hypocrites and clowns. We desecrate grave yards and national monuments. In spite of our culture of not maintaining anything worth preserving, we tend to clamor when things get to the point of no repair.

Yes, how many people cared about this woman, until the mayor found something he thought was forgotten and desecrated to replace with a new found hockey hero. After all in the last 2 days all I hear about Late President Atta-Mills is Asumdwaee, Hockey and Religion. The way the media played his hockey stardom, Oko probably thought he was going to be hailed for coming up with this suggestion. Please pardon the bearded man, sound minds have spoken.

Our flag sucks by the way. If we had to have National 3 code numbers, she would have picked 123 for Ghana. Innovation, Creativity and Uniqueness has never been out forte, even to this day.

Even in modern day Ghana, we steal nice ideas, bang it around, shit bomb it , stand back and admire it with a 32 grin, and we brand it as Made In Ghana or Ghanaian culture.

Also dont take solace in the number of ignorant people who you claim have never heard about Theodosia Okoh before. Knowing very well that the NDC is full of the more ignorant sections of our society, it does not surprise me if this were however true. In any case, where did you get the funds to do your research that came out with the numbers of ignorant people like you? Perhaps Woyome helped you out?

Ghanaians are like rodents, pests, maggots and a plague. Build anything and they will infest and destroy it. Leave a space anywhere in the capital, and somebody will set up an illegal structure there, own it for ever and trash the area. Worst of all, they attract equally dysfunctional citizens to help break down civility. Issue a taxi license to 100 people to serve a specific square mile of population, and I promise you everybody home and abroad will want to get in the taxi business, next thing, more taxis than pedestrians. Worse thing, they force you to ride by honking incessantly, instead of the civilized mode of "hailing" a taxi. Kuffuor honoured some ghanaian sports men and named Accra sports stadium as Ohen Djan sports stadium and Kumasi as Baba Yara stadium . The AMA mayor who was in nursery or living in the USA and does not know these sports men who have helped Ghana just changed it back to its original names as if the stadium in Accra is for the Ga's or his own property and nobody condermed this mayor. Now he has done it again on no person than our dear mother Okoh. You see the mayor does not have a clue who madam Okoh is to ghanaians . Is John Mahama saying that he didn't know about the proposed change of name, because he would have been the one to go and commission it if the name change had fallen through. It's such double standards and the clear insult to the collective intelligence of Ghanaians that gets our goat.
The story read "but after fierce public condemnation, the President (then) directed the AMA to halt the renaming and summoned the AMA CEO to appear before him". So in effect, had the public not raised that much righteous fury about the name change, the President would have sat there and gone ahead to acquiesce to the renaming of the hockey stadium after careful thought and deliberation had gone into name the edifice after the noble lady who designed our national flag and actually singlehandedly committed her own funds and resources to create and build that stadium.
And that is the kind of President and the kind of party in charge of Ghana as we speak. An inept, incompetent, non achieving bunch of thieves who cannot do absolutely anything for themselves but would rather steal, loot, pilfer, pillage and appropriate the works of hardworking Ghanaians and that is the NDC gov't headed by John Mahama.
