He says Atta Mills recognised the nice new Stadia built by NPP, and for continuity they should organise International Competitions...bla, bla bla: Hahahaaahaha...loafer Ahwoi!!!He is not even ashamed to admit that his P/NDC could not build a single stadium in Ghana! It stinks!!!

For 19 years this Kwamena Ahwoi took over part of Accra Sports Stadium with Kojo Tsikata not to develop and improve sports but to run their National Investigations Committee, where Ghanaians were hauled in to be interrogated and physically abused by these NDC hounds, and their properties confiscated to the State. They did not build a single block on any stadium of Ghana but on return to power paid 510000000000.00 Cedis to their thieving NDC agent Woyome, who had nothing to with Kuffuor's painstaking efforts to build new stadia to host African Games.

Kwamena Ahwoi's PNDC was in power for 19 good years and could not build a single stadium, let alone organise a single African games tournaments but now wants one because NPP had built new nice stadia across the country. BUT which country will send its sports delegation to a most filthy, dirty country like Ghana without good running water and electricity?

I hereby declare to all and sundry that the weak, ineffective P/NDC Government did nothing for Ghana's Sports development!

For 19 years, Kwamena Ahwoi was in power with his brothers and Tsikatas but did absolutely nothing for our Sports Development:

Before these people did their coup de tat to rule the country, Ghana had Colts Football Teams and Regional Tournaments, organised annually to unearth natural talents:

Ghana had Industrial Football Teams where established Companies and Institutions competed in Football across the country but then led by these Ahwois, all the Institutions of State were sold under their nebulous Divestiture Scheme: I mean the PWDs, SHCs, SCCs, Dumas of GTP, etc that played in the INDAFA league...

Ghana had viable 7-Year Secondary Schools where boys and girls competed fiercely in Annual Athletics and Football Competitions across the country. I was a number one witness of the delightful Interco Games in Cape Coast, where Adisco, Augusco, Mfantsipim etc. competed fiercely among themselves to produce all these Athletes, who dominated African Athletics.

In Hockey, schools competed with each other to create a pool of talents who became Champions in Africa...We beat every nation in Africa and just about to rival India and Pakistan to dominate this wonderful Sports being desecrated by NDC naming ceremony...

Basket ball teams were flourishing in Secondary Schools and Universities, and was a joy to watch University of Ghana playing against UST in GUSA Games.

Cricket was played in some secondary schools such as Mfantsipim and Achimota but villagers like Rawlings and Ahwois frowned on these as elitist and destroyed the facilities

Handball was a growing sports and even the Security Agencies were organising competitions and played against university teams

Hathramani and other benefactors like Fiifi Larbi of Wits and Wills fame always sponsored National Table Tennis Competitions and our Players were the Best in Africa led by E A Quaye, Bartels Brothers and Kamuzu Banda! Lawn Tennis was also played everywhere in our Ghana, and the Sports was developing.

Under Kutu Acheampong/Akuffo governments, Ghana organised successfully the African Cup Competitions in 1978, where we won the Cup for the Third Time and kept the First Original Cup.

In the Football League played in Stadia built before the destroyers came to power, we had proper Football Teams which played Two Divisions across the country and produced some lovely Footballers including my favourites Robert Mensah, Alex Mingle, Robert Hammond, Mama Acquah, Osei kofi, Yaw Sam, Ibrahim Sunday, Kuuku Dazie, John Eshun, Kwasi and Dan Owusu, Mohammed Polo, Kofi Bruce Agyeman, Sanni Abdulai, Edward Boye, Edwin Conduah, Abbrey and many others. Those were the days when we watched football in proper towns than Berekum with their palm fronds as Stadium walls...but under the PNDC Sakabo government, everything collapsed due to their three year Curfew which killed every joy in our lives until exodus of our Sporting talents set in.

I hope the words of NDC will one day be translated into action...for all we hear is talk, talk and so much talk but nothing to show for by this Kwamena Ahwoi who has taken over GIMPA for his own personal agenda:

If you those in authority will stop wasting and pocketing the country's resources and use it on our death trap roads,hospitals,energy supplies,sewerage and other things to attract the rest of the world to Ghana,then maybe.
I may not be well educated,but if i understand the meaning of the word VISION correctly,then it shouldn't be associated with Mills or any of you who continue to drag this country down and bringing shame to it.
Let me remind you that after 56 years of so-called independence,show one thing that Ghana can boast of.
Anybody in doubt about my point should look at a country like Malaysia which gained independent the same time like Ghana and compare the difference.
