We have all these issues of life and death in Ghana and yet we have allowed a few people to prevail upon majority of Ghana's ill served people to engage in fight to the death battle calls because of political ambition. Where are these politicians who know how to match to get each other out of jail or match on radio and TV stations to show their very animal instincts that depict us as savages before the rest of the world?
We still have these HIV/AIDS carrier possibly/more likely to be using restrooms in the open since restroom are a luxury in Ghana thus allowing the potential for the innocent to contract the virus via fecal matter contamination. Then of course there are those in the Diaspora who continue to poke the flames of hatred for the fools in Ghana to squabble about nothing while they enjoy their comforts, thanks to the indigenes of their respective nation. Whose fault is it if these 12,000 or so should die? Is it the current government or a failure of a government system we have accepted by default since no one has the brains to constructively criticize unless it is of tribal interest instead of national interest?

So what does that tells you about the menace and cost that homosexuality presents to us as a nation? If you understand that homosexuality is one of the main sources of developing HIV, then you will also agree that the cost of a fully blown HIV epidemic cannot be absolved by the government alone given the fact we cannot even provide adequately for malaria, typhoid, cholera, whooping cough, clean water, electricity and decent schools for children. Just consider the implications of this on the finances of a developing nation and how the country can either go cup in hand for drugs or be made to use scarce oil revenues to fund this. Just cut charitable institutions out of this; for, good though they are, there is only an extent to which they can help.
