The only defense l hear from the NDC lawyers when it comes to the pink sheets is the petitioners have shifted the goal post, they started with this number and now they are saying that number. I expect that at the end of the day if it is only one pink sheet that was accepted the malpractices, the errors, the thievry that the petitioners are claiming on the pink sheet it is true or not, l don't hear respondents defending that aspect of it. In a way the respondents have accepted there were problems be it malpractices, errors, etc. It appears the respondents want to rely on technicality that you said this number but now you are saying that number so the case should be thrown out, they are clearly running away from the facts on the pink sheets. but the Judges will not run away from the facts on the pink sheets.

Head of Corporate Communications at the Volta River Authority (VRA), Samuel Kwesi Fletcher, has debunked allegations by the Minority in Parliament that government owes VRA over US$400 million.

“I’m telling you, and you can quote me anywhere, the records are there to show, I can print the financial statement for you to see government does not owe VRA,” Fletcher stated Monday on Adom FM/Asempa FM’s “Burning Issues” Program.

The Minority Spokesperson on Energy, Hon. K.T. Hammond told journalists on Tuesday, government owes VRA up to US$400 million.

In any serious country, K T Hammond would have resigned but not in Ghana. A whole shadow minister for energy does not know that the government owes VRA not a kobo and yet he is still sitting pretty in his position. With opposition like this NDC will continue to win elections in Ghana

Well, well, well, they opted for a live telecast and Ghanaians amicably granted them their wise and then hoopla, the proceedings lived before the world and for 46 days we watched as they mess themselves stupid before the supreme floor.

Their so called irrefutable evidence became a postiche and such a shambolic of a fiasco to even a six-month old coco-happy bouncing baby down south. Now, here they are again preaching reliable facts? The only way that I see the SC Judges going is to have a rerun of some of the areas the NPP are complaining about. Don't forget that their initial number of pink sheets they tendered as evidence has been reduce so the is a problem there. Lets all wait and see what the SC will come up with, but rest assured that JDM will still be in power.

The respondents DO NOT HAVE TO present "any evidence of their own". They only need to respond to the allegations by raising reasonable doubt. The ONUS OF PROOF (evidence) rests with the petitioners. This is obtuse law.
