All of a sudden nonentities want to portray to the world how close they were to the late President.
Those who had to chat with him for one hour everyday, those Deputy Ministers who had to call him every morning before the man could even brush his teeth, and still those who would be called to the Castle by the late President to express his appreciation for job well done after they had gone to insult political opponents in the media on his behalf. Shameless id.iots raising their egos..

It seems to me that all these penny-half-penny lawyers languishing in the Attorney Generals Dept were trained either by Prof Mills or Tsatsu Tsikata.
They are either too corrupt or too stupid to handle any case on behalf of the state properly. They are even incapable of producing official documents to the Commissioner of Judgment Debts to examine.
The myth surrounding the saying, "learned friend has been demolished for good. Today we all now know that lawyers at the supposedly highest levels are all dimwits and small-time thieves themselves.
I think in all honesty that the Ghana law School should be abolished forthwith to avoid further disgrace to the country.

Indeed, Ghana under this NDC gov't led by John Mahama has caused havoc to our socio-economic development. This is profusely criminal and monumentally mindboggling, all happening under the very nose of Betty Mould and the Presidency. How can corruption become so rife and sanctioned under the NDC gov't led by the Mills-Mahama-Amissah Arthur administration like breathing in air?

But Jerry himself was also not a saint. Many in his government and himself were as corrupt as the word corrupt would mean. The grabbing of property, using false documentation, taking children and family members outside the country on dubious scholarship, selling of state owned enterprise to cronies among all other vices were prevalent during the time of Jerry. This does not mean they did not happen under Kuffour and Mills and presently under Mahama's rule but let us stop portraying Jerry as a kind of Saint. He was himself somewhere along the line neck deep in corruption. He wanted his word to always be law. That is why he felt apart with his deepest allies, including Kwasi Botchway and Kojo Tsikata. Sometimes, for political expediency, and opportunity, he used the foot soldiers, pretending to protect their interests. In many instances, he preached virtues and practiced vice. Well, that is the nature of many African politicians.

So no one says JJR is a saint either. At least he admitted there was corruption in his government and later said, standing on the fence as civilian he saw how his trusted men undermined him and in that is retrospect, he should have looked somewhere else.
Kufuor actually asked people to report to the police if the identified cases of corruption in his government while reiterating corruption started from Adam. There's a big difference between the two.

Who was a Dep Atty-General in the K4 administration was on full throttle defending lawyers at the AG`s department. How may times have we not heard about low profile cases being referred to the AG`s head office for further advice? So what are we to make of these fairy tales(ananses3m) we keep hearing from many of these State Attys? How long have these officials, who had been asked to appear, been on notice as to the nature of information required from them? Are we not witnessing this same 'stone-walling' tactics in on-going cases before various courts?
I believe the Judgement Debt Commission has uncovered enoght to cause the Pres mahama to take a bold and decisive action to clean up some of the mess the good people of this country are having to live with. And I think the sooner the better, rather than this constant rtefrain we keep hearing from the presidency about the AG "has been directed" to do this and that! May be the time is 'ripe' for Mahama himself to run the ministry from the Flagstaff House. Enough of this nonsense!

I am one of those asking the president to jail people and take responsibility of those actions if he intends to be successful as president. But he can really do anything unless he would not mind being branded as a dictator.
I even made allusion to the Senegalese current judicial situation where some Ministers of the former government are jailed while others under investigation of infractions against the law are under travel ban. Actually, the former president's son is in jail even though investigations on him haven't finished.
We in Ghana think we are smart but we aren't really.

But with the corruption that has been going on and still goes on under the nose of the president, why can't the president declare a state of emergency to investigate corruptions that have engulfed Ghana. That will not be any dictatorship. Ghanaians will welcome that but it looks like the government is fully involved also. The only thing we don't want are the Kangaroo courts that were established under Jerry. We want the rule of law.
How do you find the government setting up another committee to review the reports of another committee that the government itself set up. This should let you know the hypocrisy that we have with our politicians. They do the talk but do not walk the walk.

The NPP went into dubious contracts to siphon state funds. Thinking they will retain power in 2008. They cleverly tempered with files and created the bases for people to go to court knowing very well that AG will not have enough evidence to defend that case and the claims will be paid. Then they will receive their kickbacks.
It seems the cover was blown on those who failed to give the kickback. Why is it that the "judgment debt of amount GHc1,418, 151.76 (over 10 billion) paid to Henry Osei Danquah [possibly an NPP financier] in the year 2008, which the AG failed to defend" was not reveal by Kennedy Agyapong? The truth of judgment debt is downing on us and thanks to Prez Mahama for setting up the Commission. No wonder NPP opposed the setting up of same.
