legacy of the pepeni and his murder of mills is nothing but sorrow, misery and poverty while he and his cronies boldly continue to loot the country. this is understandable since they are not Akans, they do not care as they know the wealth of the nation does not belong to them , its a take/steal money and run mentality that drives them. They have no solutions because they are too feeble minded and reality deep down they know its only by theft , trickery , election engineering /rigging , ideological lies and camouflage that they are there now and know it can not last . The national security is going round spreading the word they have the supreme court under control and have ensured the petition will not succeed , i guess they are able to blackmail the judges after all so there will be no justice . The national security has an interest to keep pepeni in place as there is not a single corruption act that goes on whereby they dont have a cut . they know if pepeni goes over 80% of them will be out of a job as thats the first place any true patriotic govt will clean up. we know all this will sooner or later lead to war and we are ready , long live the republic of Akan

And Ewusi, NDC built on CPP and PP foundations. NPP built on NDC stabilisation and renaissance efforts. NDC is continuing from where NPP left off. These days the parties take the good from predecessors, correct the wrong if they can and move forward. But the systems and institutions have sometimes suffered in the process. This is the key challenge we must all contribute to fixing because we all know it and already contribute to the problem directly or indirectly, including Prince Kofi!!!Building institutions is the collective responsibilty of leadership by the ruling elite in the state and non-state sectors,not just a ruling party or government!!!Times are fast changing. More democracy, more accountability by all stakeholders!

I honestly cheerish these wonderful words of wisdom, knowledge and intelligence that our dear fellow citizens, Mr Amoabeng, the UT bank chief executive and Professor Omane-Antwi of University of Pentecost are sharing with the citizens of Ghana. The next question one may ask is how can the government of the day apply these strategies of managerial knowhow that you are sharing with them and make them work as expected inorder that all these good expectations of having an improved economy can be realised in our nation in particular and Africa as a whole.

I know why my subject heading is as follows;- IT IS EASILY SAID THAN DONE. The problem with Ghana presently is not lack of ideas, since there are more people with similar minds full of these same stuff, but if you both Amoabeng, Omari-Antwi and the Ghanaians in general could agree with me, it is the implimentations of these wonderful ideas which have greatly become our major torn in the flesh causing us not to be able to fix our economy.

I want to be very elaborative with the factors causing us to be saying much while we do little or nothing. Our national sociopolitical structure is greatly open to question that if we all mean to achieve some level of progress then we of the political parties need to come together, not as one single party but as one people with common single destiny of hoping to achieve higher level in the economical area for the development of our people. In this school of thought I believe the parties in Ghana should realise that our politics should not be a thing of creating either psychological or physical division among ourselves, whereby a party not in power will do all that it can to undermine the party in power so that whatever policies initiated for the goodness of the nation will be not be achieved.

How can a government fix the system when the population is based on the MY PARTY/ MY TRIBE syndrome and are therefore deeply divided with hatred, tribalism, anger and demonic spirit of ever ready to destroy what the government of the day have initiated for the nation's progress, even though 90 percent of the people in this nation claimed they believe in God. With these known occurences in our system I believe there should be a national policy that will oblige all political parties to adhere to a formular which will be studied by all and accepted and eventually enshrined in our constitution, thus binding all political parties in Ghana to follow such lines of national development, so that generally no party can undermine any form of development that is being implimented by the other.

In some developed economies, for example, in their town planning policies it is enshrined in their national law that certain type of houses should not be built in certain areas, and there is no other party which comes in the future to change that because with their aquired intelligence they know it is for their own good.

I believe at this stage we need to come out with an idea of this nature and any other ones that can enable us to impliment them inorder to fix the economy as our hearts are yearning for such wonderful and higher economic achievements.

Wofa Moses Efo Koku, it is interesting to see that you continue to read all that I write, but it is unfortunate that your nervous behavior never allows you to read with clear mind of what others say hence your failure to understand, especially when you realise they are not of the paty, or of the tribe that you belong to or seem not to understand you or disagree with your mind.

Look in demoncratic style of ours today, it is give and take without anger and the display of the foolish and primitive way that you present yourself. This is what we have to find solution to if we want to see our economy get fixed because it is this primitive mentality of yours and that of others that is making things difficult for our nation. You continue to live in the foolish man's world of anger that never ends. It may be very good for you to go back to my comments on the renaming of the hockey stadium by Vanderpuije which already bears the name of Madam OKOH, or that of the Accra stadium or the Asafoatse Nettey road.

I never stated anything tribally except the one who reads is out of touch of realities, or he is frustrated and live daily with anger towards people who disagree with him or he lacks understanding of what others say. Let me share this with you because I see that you have interest in national / political affairs. Basically it is a good way to choose as you can help to build your nation, a step that not all love to choose, but I will advise you to be of patience and be focused on matters of realities, that you will not say many people speak Twi in Ghana so Twi is a national language.

Another point worth considering is never be the first person to abuse people since you want to be taken serious politically, except you cheerish the foolish oriented politics where people believe in abusing opponents. That is what is in Ghana today so the nation goes nowhere, and you too will go nowhere if...........

KWAME get this through your dim witted head. Governments do not create wealth, Individual citizens do ! The role of visionary governance is to "provide enabler environment" ( systems. processes, institutions, respect for the rule of law, etc...) where self interest will spur entrepreneurs to establish businesses that create jobs. It takes credit (loans) to build and operate businesses that support created jobs. If a banker cannot get loans repaid how can we sustain the micro and macro issues you talk about? Do you understand what you are talking about?

People like you are the reason we have been stuck in a quick sand for the last 56 years as a country. We dismiss good ideas because the messenger is not someone we like. Self interest (you call it selfish) moves the growth of economies not government involvement in job creation, The socialist and communist model of last century failed because it made generations lazy and dependent. Even the Chinese and Russians finally learned their folly. Visit China and Russia to understand what countries like Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Brazil and Malaysia have done to raise the living standards of their people.

Do some reading or go to school to open that little minded brain of yours.

What the government can do is to create a conducive environment to spur economic growth in Ghana. In reality the South East Asian economies which used to be classified with Ghana and most African countries as developing countries some 45 years back, educated their folks across the board, added higher value to all their natural resources...from low tech goods to high tech goods and sold them on the International market. Simply put it is the value of the cash inflow into the country versus the value of the cash outflow in terms of expenditure generated by the importation of higher valued added goods/services from abroad that will determine the wealth of the nation. Whenever the value of the cash inflow is greater than the value of the cash outflow, a balance of payment surplus is generated. Today most exports from Ghana are raw materials or commodity goods which are lowly priced on the international market. At the same time Ghanaians always crave for higher valued added goods and services like cars, construction equipment, electronics, gadgets and oil and mineral prospecting skills from abroad etc which value more than the raw materials/commodity goods Ghana sells on the international market. The consequences are a balance of trade deficit, a weak Cedi, the creation of jobs elsewhere, joblessness, inflation, missing out on improving indigenous technology and lack of the diversification of its economy. For Ghana to jump start its economy it needs to completely overhaul agriculture, add higher value to the bulk of its natural resources before being sold on the international market and simultaneously put measures in place to adopt export diversification platforms which are capable of withstanding global shocks. In Africa Botswana and Mauritius have done that and so did the Asian Tigers of South East Asian economies. For a visionary leader to succeed he/she needs to buy into this idea-value addition methodologies and export diversification platforms and will also need the cooperation from academia, the public sector, the private sector, the informal sector, formal sector, research institutions and all stakeholders in Ghana to succeed!

If we have a good reliable database, it will not only improve investment but all institutions will benefit form it. the police will be effective as people can be tracked easily to an address, IRS will be effective, health, schools, etc. It will take a president who is able to look outside the box and an educated population to achieve this important milestone.

Even the Law of nature works or abaids with a system. This is why we have the law of gravity, that is why the sea is incaperble of cruising us all. See because some part of the laws of nature are been violated by mankind that is why some times things goes off board some where.
the sun never fall down on makind just because there is a machenizem holding it in place This is how God made it and wants it to be untill may be at his own time wants it to fall down on mankind. There is a system working, that is why we have the weater changing accurately within its stipulated months. Even if that person miraculously wins, would his ministers also be quality leaders? (He can only choose from BBB.

Furthermore, what if no potentially-good leader is found?

Ghana probably needs to be ruled by a COMMITTEE, supported by two teams: professional EXPERTS and STRATEGIC PLANNERS. The professional expert team must be drawn from professional bodies NOT necessarily political parties.
I know, that sounds far-fetched and idealistic but nothing else has worked!

It is time to stop being obsessed with personalities, charismatic superstars, demigods, and what-not as leaders and instead focus on stems and institutions.

If you liken a head of state to a conductor of an orchestra, how relevant would that conductor be if the orchestral instruments are defective, the musicians are drunk, the concert hall roof leaks, and the music books from which the players depend on are full of errors?
A good orchestra can continue to play flawlessly even when the conductor suddenly suffers a heart attack.
