  I beg to differ with the author. This article is talking about humanistic love, not a Christlike love.

  According to the bible, true love is a heavenly gift which we experience as a result of our relationship with Christ.
  
  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn (judge) the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
  
  This experiential love is acquired during a lifetime training in the school of Christ (sanctification).
  
  "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30).
  
  In the school of Christ love is governed by his commandments.
  Obedience to Christ's commandments makes us his friends.
  
  "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you" (John 15:13-14).
  
  "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him"
  (John 14:21)
  
  "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love" (John 15:10).
  
  "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him"
  (1 John 2:3-4).
  
  In the last days of the earth's history, there will be only two groups of people who will be living: God's people-- those who manifest God's love by keeping all his commandments (including the Sabbath commandment), and Babylon-- those who do not.
  
  "And the dragon (Satan) was wroth with the woman (the true church), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed (the remnant church), which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ"
  (Revelation 12:17).
