They have no solutions because they are too feeble minded and reality deep down they know its only by theft , trickery , election engineering /rigging , ideological lies and camouflage that they are there now and know it can not last . The national security is going round spreading the word they have the supreme court under control and have ensured the petition will not succeed , i guess they are able to blackmail the judges after all so there will be no justice . The national security has an interest to keep pepeni in place as there is not a single corruption act that goes on whereby they dont have a cut . they know if pepeni goes over 80% of them will be out of a job as thats the first place any true patriotic govt will clean up. we know all this will sooner or later lead to war and we are ready , long live the republic of Akan

Ghanaian leaders are so obsessed with titles to the extent that they are ready to sue if you don't address them that way. I always ask myself "what's honorable about these dimwits?" It's a shame the way Africans reason. People who have never travelled outside Africa will not see anything wrong with it but travelling to the western world will give you a different picture. People who swear to serve wants to be addressed honourables. It's like saying "Honorable Servant". Ghanaians must start to think a bit and put these so called honourables in their right place.

If I remember correctly, even he the man Jesus himself often put the matter of God and the holy scriptures aside and dealt effectively with sinners in all endeavors of life. So why cant Otabil or for that matter any follower of Christ, do the same?

Short Biography:
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

He graduated from the University of Ghana in 1967 with a B.Sc in Economics. Nana trained as a lawyer in England and was called to the English Bar (Middle Temple) in 1971 and the Ghanaian Bar in 1975.

Under President Kufuor, Nana served as the Attorney-General and Minister for Foreign Affairs. He was the flagbearer of the party in the 2008 elections and was again elected in 2010 to be the flagbearer of the party in the upcoming 2012 elections.

With the swollen-headed attitudes comes the belief that they are untouchable and therefore they can do anything and get away with it. The next thing that follows is rampant abuse of power, corruption and all the ills you can imagine.

We all know that the so-called leaders in Africa are corrupt to the bone and yet because so much has been conferred on them more than they deserve they take undue advantage of that to commit untold crimes and WE just continue cheering them on. What a shame!

Talking is good because it enables any group of people to be open with one-another by way of sharing ideas in order to come up with a consensus that all will rally around, put it into practice and actualize it for ultimate benefit of all.

Dr.Mahathir Mohammed took over the governance of Malaysia at the same time Dr.Rawlings assumed reigns of our dear nation. And 20years latter, Malaysia was described as one of these Asians tiger economies while Ghana was declared HIPC.Here; I’m certainly not seeking to lay blame on any particular group of persons or an individual. Our spectacular failure to lift ourselves out of socio-economic slavery is a collective failure since we have had the opportunity as a people, to make decisions as to who manages the affairs of state but have failed to choose people with competence.

Our decisions at the polls have largely been dictated by how close we are to a prospective president, an MP, DCE, MCE or a minister. Tribal considerations have also played a large role in our decisions at the polls on Election Day. This kind of strange Ghanaian character is what has been capitalized on by block-headed politicians who have no message for the people.

Why is Otabil wading into this area and what seems to have overcome him? Why does it bother him that heads of State or government are addressed as "Excellency" when this is a universal mark of respect for the OFFICE not necessarily the person occupying that office?

As a renowned and respected pastor, Mensa Otabil should focus on his pastoral work and contribute in other ways to national cohesion, peace and development rather than being outspoken in the way that he is doing right now. It is a pity that over the 40 years or so that he has been in ministry, it is only these last few years that he is behaving this way.

By the way, his University I notice has been extremely critical of the Ghana government over the last year or so and I wonder if he had any special leverage during the previous dispensation that he (and the authorities of his University) feel (s) they are no longer enjoying under this new government.

I am simply trying to understand where this guy is coming from, and mean no offence to him or anyone else for that matter.

I made it categorically clear that all those found culpable in the GYEEDA report must be held to account and the law allowed to deal with them as I have a zero tolerance for corruption irrespective of who is involved or where it is coming from.

I responded to your post and asked you whether that was the only thing you read in that article and now here you are saying different thing, just because you have been cornered. "Cardinal" will bear me witness on this.

Your hypocrisy is palpable on these pages. Instead of dwelling on the substance of the message, you are here criticizing the pastor and his University (my goodness) for being against your "brother" and his 100 or so "thieves" at the Castle or flagstaff.

Now, in your earlier post, from the first paragraph, you said "It appears Mensa Otabil has not changed" and yet, you go on in the third paragraph and make this remark " it is only these last few years that he is behaving this way." What point are trying to make? Also, you have written it here that, you remember them at Legon when they started their ministry. In order to destroy that man, you said he has done nothing in his 40 yrs or so ministry. Was it over 40 yrs that you were at Legon? Sir, whom are you trying to fool or please?

And who told you that it is wrong to preach on the ills of society as a Pastor? Are you saying as a pastor, he can't and shouldn't preached on bad leadership? As the Nation prospers, his people also prosper and therefore it is prudent that he preaches against idiocy among our leaders. What is so difficult about this that some of you don't understand?

He has fathers and mothers in his church that think their only responsibility to have kids and nothing else and you think it is not good to preached on leadership. He has Managers and Business owners in his church and you think the gospel is not about leadership but about Moses walking on Wilderness somewhere.

Like I have observed and keep on repeating, the greedy bastards at radioxyzonline might think they are helping Mahama/NDC by trying to destroy OTabil, they need to think again. Because, he is going nowhere and he will continue to preached the same thing he has been preaching.

The only difference why some people have not heard about him is, NPP media are probably not as useless as those in radioxyzonline to set a mole in Otabil's church to bring out messages and make it like it is against their leaders.

It is for this reason why I will come to Ghanaweb to debunk the lies and propaganda that you guys are churning out everyday against good men. And I could care less whether any one of you will respond to any of my post all not.

He graduated from the University of Ghana in 1967 with a B.Sc in Economics. Nana trained as a lawyer in England and was called to the English Bar (Middle Temple) in 1971 and the Ghanaian Bar in 1975.

If care is not taken, Otabil will explode one of these days and that will surely seal his fate. There are a lot of sychophants surrounding him who are not doing him any good. Some are called honorable without anything to show for. I like the late first Ghanaian Neurosurgeon who always preferred to be called Mustapha instead of Dr. or Professor so and so. In the U.S. the President is referred to as Baraka Obama. Former President Clinton's official name was William Jefferson Clinton, but he was always referred to as "Bill Clinton" without any titles attached to it. The former Secretary of State under Bush had a doctorate degree (Ph.D), yet she was always referred to as Ms. Rice. You work in hospitals and doctors prefer to be called their first names, eg. Charles preferred to be called "Chuck" William preferred to be called Bill, etc, so I agree in toto with Pastor Otabil and Ghanaians should take it serious. Some of them even do not deserve those titles.

Otabil is very disrespectful to authorities. Every title has its meaning to the position attached to it and is accepted by society. Otabil is an evil man that needs to be stopped. He is behaving like an extremist, a terrorist, war monger.
