Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. Akuffo Addo never campaigned using the tribal cards.You see when you sit on national radio think well over what you say.If you want a party that has preached the tribal card in order to survive then it is the P+NDC.Even Generl Erskine once said it and in my estimation he was 100% right.I do agree that tribalism exist a lot time in Ghana but ever since Rawlings and his P+NDC came in Dec 1981 the canker worm of tribal politics rose and has risen to such an extend that it will take a "John the Baptist " to rule Ghana for 40 years to return Ghana even to the bad level it was before P+NDC came.He did all these setting on Ghanaian against the order,the rich against the poor,the north against the south in order to hang on to power.Even some of us Akuapims were denied entry into the armed forces because we were Gen Akuffo's relatives.It is easier as national leader to sow divisions but not easier to eradicate it.

Check to see the people he appointed to high level positions u see his reign. Finance minister, education min, BOG Governer, Ambassador to US, AG, etc. do u see Ewes? What about Sam Jonah who was given the most richest asset to manage? Is he not from Ashanti? Shat about people he appointed as vice President? are they from his tribe.

Where an individual or a company is paid a judgement debt because of the action or inaction of a public body or a public servant, it is the taxpayer (the people) that suffer. Likewise a presiding officers action can negate the votes of innocent voters.

Bernard Mornah should understand that it is not winning more regions that wins the presidency in Ghana. Ghana does not practice federal form of government. It is the one who wins the popular votes that is judged the winner. For example Mornah should understand that those entitled to vote even in the Ashanti region is more than all the three northern regions and possible part of the Volta region so the votes in Ashanti region, and the Eastern region which the NPP won together with winning substantial votes in all the regions across the country was enough for NPP to win the Presidency. He should also understand that the verdict of the case is not going to be based on who has more seats in government. The government of Barack Obama of US does not have majority in the Senate yet he won the presidency and now the President of US. So his logic is useless and he should finally know that verdict will not be based on his assertion but the evidence at stake.

This is a commonsense approach. As Mr Mornah rightly argues, the trend since 1992 is: the presidential candidate whose party wins majority in parliament wins the presidential election. In the 2012 election, NDC won 146 seats in parliament as against NPP’s 123 – and 5 of the remaining 6 MPs have chosen to sit with NDC in parliament.
Even in the most closely contested presidential election in 2008 the NDC won majority in parliament and Prof Mills, the NDC candidate won the presidential election. Nana Akufo Addo should by now come to terms that he, as a person, is not a winnable candidate (or a rejected candidate). In 2008, he got 49.32% in the first round while Candidate Mills got 47.74%. This implies that, Akufo Addo needed just 0.68% plus 1 vote to be declared president. But in the run-off, he could only get 49.3% while Mills got 50.47% to be declared president. It was as if the electorates were careful not to choose Akufo Addo. Contrasting this with what happened in 2000 will bring out the picture even clearer.
In 2000, Candidate Kufuor got 48.4% and Mills 44.8% in the first round. In the second round, Candidate Kufuor went higher to get 56.9% and Mills dropped to 43.1%. This is a clear expression of choice by the electorates for Former President John Kufuor.
In 2012, the rejection of Akufo Addo was even more resounding. If Akufo Addo has good advisers, they should by now be telling him that he made fatal mistakes that did not help him . His statements like, “we Akans”, “all die be die”, “victory at all costs” as well as his refusal to rebuke his campaigners who were declaring war to “kill all Gas and Ewes” did not help him. Even in Ashanti and Eastern Regions (2 out of 10 Regions) where he was clearly the winner, his percentages significantly dropped as compared to 2008 election results.

First time in our politics, an NPP MP foolishly and openly calls for the killing of some tribes who don't vote for them. What did Nana do to that goat? Was Ken Adjepong sanctioned? Was he punished for his utterances? NO. Not under the leadership of Nana who had before that made his yen akanfuor comment. What about that stupid idiot Ursula who insulted Northerners a week before elections and called it a description? What happened to her?

Look, spare us the stupid dribbling of facts. Check to see who Rawlings friends are from 79 till date. His friends are a good mix of people from different tribes. Herbert Mensah, his current close friend is from Ashanti, likewise his wife and many people he confides in. U can say the same for people working in his office. What about Nana and Kuffour.

Check to see the people he appointed to high level positions u see his reign. Finance minister, education min, BOG Governer, Ambassador to US, AG, etc. do u see Ewes? What about Sam Jonah who was given the most richest asset to manage? Is he not from Ashanti? Shat about people he appointed as vice President? are they from his tribe.

All the juicy positions went to people from Ashanti and Eastern region. yet, they dont appreciate it. U cannot say the same for Nana & co. RAWLINGS WAS NEVER TRIBALISTIC. It is the foolish people who think only they deserve to be leaders who spew this tribal nonsense.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

He graduated from the University of Ghana in 1967 with a B.Sc in Economics. Nana trained as a lawyer in England and was called to the English Bar (Middle Temple) in 1971 and the Ghanaian Bar in 1975.

Under President Kufuor, Nana served as the Attorney-General and Minister for Foreign Affairs. He was the flagbearer of the party in the 2008 elections and was again elected in 2010 to be the flagbearer of the party in the upcoming 2012 elections. NAA
