Don't include Kufour among those who made empty promises and excuses, at least he got Bui Dam underway, unlike your NDC that plays fast and loose with the people la.

Bui dam was started by Nkrumah which was opposed by the NPP . Your eyes opened under K4 to restart it

  • PHILTY McNASTY 12 years ago

Bui Dam had been on the drawing boards since Guggisberg. So it did not start with Nkrumah, and while he thought about implementing it, he never got around to put a single block on the ground. If you are misinformed, please do ...

This is only a smart talk. You must have the solution before saying this. I want gov't who finds solutions and not we are going to try this and that, that's all. do your homework well and come out with solutions.

  • Repugnant. 12 years ago

This is no repetition, he has dissected the problem which happens to be negligence. I think we should all learn how to know instead of arguing all the time. Wofa!

Ghanaians are tired with the NDC party period. At least with the Kufuor gov't, the Bui Dam was brought on board after 1957 when we had just the Akosombo dam.

  • Repugnant. 12 years ago

You cannot downplay the importance of Akosombo dam as 'just', it has kept Ghana going for more than fifty years.

Kufuor would have abandoned Bui had it been started by Ndc. In fact Kufuor left the Osagyefo Barge an electri ...

  • Uncle Mends, Takoradi 12 years ago

Did you read what the minister said? He identified the origin of the problem and promised to solve it. You can't solve anything until you determine the grass root of the problem.

  • Opanin 12 years ago

Is the problem power generation or power distribution? Is demand for power growing faster that power supply?

  • Uncle Mends, Takoradi 12 years ago

Mr. Opanin you correctly identified the problems as:
    -Generation,
    -Supply,
    -and Demand.

Now, we have a minister who is prepared to telling the truth. It is a bold acknowledgement. Hopefully, the problem will be solved by the Mahama government.

  • JH New York 12 years ago

The basic truths is that politicians are liars. So the actual word befitting them is "politrickcians"especially most of the African brand/type or category.
Anyway, thanks Hon for being honest to yourself.
