Why people why? When at all are we going to have loyal, faithful and dedicated people to rule our nation? It is so sad and heart breaking to hear articles like this published. We should set up a committee consisting of Lawyers, Auditors, The Military, Judges and even civilians so that a system could be put in place that will monitor the revenues of this country and how money is utilized by the gov't and the big corporations. Any revenue coming into the country be monitored to make sure it gets to the right and appropriate account so that it will not get into the hands of thieves and greedy people. Any culprit found violating the law and pocketing any money belonging to the nation must face the firing squad, no exceptions and no mercy. I think this will put an end to this indecent activities of money meant for the entire nation being squandered by only a handful of people by virtue of their position in this country.

Ghanaians should take a cue from what is happening in other parts of Africa such as Tunisia, Egypt, Libya etc.

I think leadership is gone to the dogs in Ghana and every Ghanaian needs to wake up and deal decisively with any weak, corrupt government.

If you go to Dubai you will witness amazing economic and social developments that that country has managed to achieve. And this is all due to oil and nothing else. If you come to Ghana we have gold, diamond, bauxite, aluminium, cocoa, timber, you name it, Ghana has got it and now God has added crude oil to Ghana's wealth and yet great majority of ghanaians are wallowing in poverty whilst a few fat cat, corrupt politicians and their families and cronnies are riding in posh cars and living in mansions.

Ghana wake up and fight for your motherland. The wealth of the country is for all of you not the few politicians. A word to the wise is enough!

I do not know whether this story is true or not. The government must come out and say somethig about this story. Stories like this can spark big trouble for the country . If it is true then lt is enough fuel to cause social fire. We do not need to go the way some countries have gone because of oil. Please do not take Ghanaians for granted. We still have some hot heads arround.

Where if I may ask do the reporters think the money has gone? What has it been used for? has it been "chopped"?

I thought recently the finance minister came out to 'clarify' the disbursement of oil revenue and government's use of the 'windfall' from oil resources. Why is it that it is always "the opposition NPP" which "uncovers" these things?

We need credible, verifiable sources and accurate reporting to ascertain the veracity of these stories so that we can hold government to account.
